There are a lot of books out there that claim to offer insight into the various aspects of filmmaking promising insider information but often only offer broad interviews with accomplished figures about their experiences. While having it's place in an education, there is a time more often than not when you need hard quantifiable facts.

This book offers the best of both worlds which reads as a seemingly endless archive of applicable information AND insight. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is taking a SERIOUS look at becoming a part of any film's art department.
