Rate this book
Now you can read the whole remarkable story of Mary Kay Beard who started Angel Tree, a ministry of Prison Fellowship. As a young woman, Mary Kay Beard let the pain and anger from an abusive childhood drive her into a life of crime and danger. By the time she was 27, she was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List, wanted in four states, and was the target of a mafia contract. Finally captured, convicted of armed robbery, sentenced to 21 years, and thrown into solitary confinement in an Alabama prison, Mary Kay took stock of her life. She started reading the Bible. Thus began God's amazing transformation of a broken, bitter criminal into a beautiful woman of faith and service.

I read this book a few years back. I wasn’t entirely sure what I was getting myself into when I started it.

This was by far one of the most life changing books I have read. I put it right up along side of The Shack.

If you’re someone who has completely lost faith in humanity and maybe even your beliefs… this is worth the read. It is a phenomenal story of how life transpires through the years and how quickly things can change: for better and for worse.

A very engaging and encouraging testimony of how "grace made the difference". 👏
