I just thought that this could have been better if it was a bit longer or could have focus a bit more on world building. I was curious on how the society function. The story mentioned about matings but non about who give birth. Do women lay eggs and men hatches them . How do Wing - society function aside from segregating the young and the adults, there were so many questions that I was curious about that was left unanswered. The story seemed to be too simple and a bit one-sided. I thought that the author could have explored the socio-political side to make it a bit interesting. This is not so bad though as this is a really sweet fantasy romance and a story about a coming of age.

Ash and Kell are best friends from younglings; sometimes they even sleep together, under the cover, to comfort one another if one is having bad dreams. The Ash gets his wings and he becomes an adult. Kell is scared that it will changed everything between them, especially since being adults it means physical attraction also grows, and there are girls flirting with Ash now.

I think the story is sweet. I can definitely feel how close the two friends are. Ash is so tender when it comes to Kell, trying to assure him that their friendship will never changed, even if he is now a grown up. It's a lovely growing up story, and fall in love with your best friend. Added with a flair of fantasy, of process getting wings, I think it's a great short story.

Ash and Kell have been friends since they were small. Ash, however, has Changed, growing his wings, his body becoming Adult. Kell is still a fledgling, and is fearful of the Change. The fledglings are very innocent, and Kell is no exception. When he finally does go through his Change, growing beautiful white wings with brown tips, he is alone, and Ash has to find him. The story is very sweet and loving, two soul mates who knew inside that this is the only one for me, and worth waiting for.
