I found it interesting how the author took one of the lesser know bible passages (Genesis chapter 6) with not really much detail and made it into a four book series. I love the plot and the main characters very much even if some of the customs and views are so foreign to me I'm not able to immagine how they worked and it was fine with most of the people at that time. I suppose becaue of the way the story stays so close to the biblical account with the few facts reported in Genesis I had no issue with the supernatural elements of it - for me it's just how it was back than including royalty, slavery, Nephilim*, angels, demons, prophets...
I enjoyed the good quality of the book very much (only a couple of typos I noticed) though struggled with the writting style. There were several similar sounding passages in this book and quite a number of repetitions in terms of facts and mentions of previous events (from this and the 1st book in series).

Finally I want to mention this is not the usual fluffy Christian ficiton and I don't think it's a book suitable for very sensitive readers. There are mentioned some very difficult topics (rape, slavery, wars...) and at least two rather graphic violent scenes .

*Nephilim were children of human mothers and fallen angel fathers - usually in consequence of rape. With only a few exceptions these giants were very violent.

Going back to the days before the big flood, we find this charming young lady. She comes from wholesome stock but has an urge to check out the darker side of life.
