Gene is in for a lot more than a hot Halloween orgy as he dons his gladiator costume and sets out for a friend’s opulent house. Are the characters he encounters for real? Figments of his sexual overdrive? Or something more sinister?
Kenn is a sixty something gay man living in the gay Mecca known as Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida. More than twenty years ago he submitted a short story to a magazine contest and won a year's subscription. Since then he has written many stories, none of which he submitted for publication until recently. He is thrilled to be published in eXcessica.com with Getting Wet in the Mall, Soaring with a Hawk Missing Aaron, Happy New Year, and Subtropics: Hustlers, Students and Juicy Fruits Heat Up, as well as three Alyson Books anthologies: Island Boys published August 2008 and Best Gay Love Stories 2009 and 2010.
Generally, Kenn sees a hot male and constructs a fantasy story around him. Sometime, a situation inspires him and a story will take shape in his mind, which is then populated from his imagination. As a bureaucrat in local government, Kenn claims to find few outlets outside of porn fiction for his innate creativity and is pleased others are interested in reading what he writes.
This story is not your sensual erotic romance. It is gritty with rough, love play and total promiscuity. The story line is simple and one dimensional without any subplots other than a smattering of explicit scenes drawing it along. The hero is a sexual, bi male that enjoys multiple orgies with complete strangers and then finds true love in his soul for his best friend and owner of the playhouse, even though the true love is not what most would consider love or happily-ever-after.
There is a fine line between good and evil and some evils aren’t as bad as they seem. The author uses great metaphors to open your mind to another world that delves into the dark. Warning to all that are not into some level of kink, this is a fast read with very little story line and may not be your cup of tea.
The sex here is hot and varied, with a little something to appeal to just about every kink. Fortunately, the writing is strong, which keeps the reader from becoming lost in the jumble of body parts and sexual appendages. Finally, it must be noted that the supernatural element is definitely dark, and may be off-putting to some. However, those who approach it with the right expectations certainly will not be disappointed.
