Strongly recommended for auto immune and over active immune systems related to pregnancy. I learnt so much from this book and helped me understand reading my own test results.

A medical professional recommended this to me (someone who went to Dr Beer's clinic). It didn't quite fit my situation but I could see how for someone struggling with infertility (or recurrent miscarriages) it could offer a new perspective.

It gets pretty technical (and I skimmed parts because of it), but I think you have to look at it in perspective. When the book came out, there was a lot of skepticism in the medical field that his techniques worked (looking at autoimmune issues as the cause). So, a lot of the book was Dr. Beer's way of saying, "it works and here's the facts to support it." He's not trying to prove it to women looking to get pregnant - he's proving it to the medical field, too. Dr. Beer passed away unexpectedly before the book was published, so it's amazing that he got his life's work (and knowledge) out before it happened.

Like many people I came across this book after recurrent loss. Although much of the information is interesting, it wasn't delivered in a way that made it digestible to non medical professionals. I struggled to get through it.

I raised much of the content with various fertility specialists and understand the theories put forward throughout the book are controversial, and many just that, theories, not actually proven although in the book they are sold as fact.

It definitely helped me have the confidence to ask for further testing in some areas, but think if the target audience is those directly experiencing these issues the writing style would be quite alienating.

This book was loaded with scientific and medical terms but I was able to understand a lot of them. It also offers an interesting take on immunology and unexplained infertility. I like reading the opinions of former patients that was balanced with the skeptical criticisms of the medical community. I myself had disappointing experiences with doctors who took my money, but offered no answers. For a while I've been convinced that many of the doctors in my country haven't kept up with the new research and I've been proven right by their outdated advice. I'll have to find the answers myself if I intend to triumph over infertility.

Interesting information about reproductive immunology but no info on my specific diagnoses.

I'm sure there is very valuable information in this book but it is buried in reports of scientific studies. Also, the reading level at which this book was written is very high. It is loaded with scientific terms and tests that the average person will find difficult to understand.

I was also not a fan of the PAGES of testimonials by Dr. Beer's patients. I felt like half of the book was an advertisement for his clinic.

Fantastic. Dr was beyond his time. If you are struggling to become pregnant, read this. I’ve sent copies to many friends and gave to my RE (IVF doc). Full of valid details and data.

A lot of it was boring, but I appreciated it in general. Maybe I'll have to read it again someday.
