Baby Blues makes life with children seem funny, even when they smear peanut butter on the walls and give the baby a makeover with Mom's cosmetics. Says writer Jerry Scott, ""As long as kids keep having runny noses and wiping them on the drapes, we're in business.""
Our Server is Down captures the perils and pratfalls of raising young children in suburbia. Daryl and Wanda MacPherson are a couple in their mid-thirties struggling to juggle work and three kids with hectic schedules-and maintain their sanity.
Zoe, the talkative eldest, is seven and more worldly than ever. Hammie is the newly anointed (by the recent birth of baby Wren) middle child. At age five, he's a willing student for Zoe and a virtual Velcro board for blame. Wren is the newest addition to the MacPherson clan-so far, all giggles and sunshine . . . with a few clouds on the horizon.
Parents worldwide have delighted in this slice-of-life comic since its debut in 1990.

I've been reading Baby Blues for many years and recently decided to buy and read all of the books in the collection. Published in 2005 Our Server is Down is now nearly 20 years old, but so far is one of my funniest most enjoyable reads in the series! In this book Hammie is still very little and Wren is still a tiny baby. The drawing of the characters is still evolving not as polished as today but still great. The strips aren't dated at all and there are some really funny runs such as when they try to pick a Christmas tree and Hammie decides he is a Secret Service like protector for Wren and Dad tries to teach chess to Hammie. This is a really enjoyable book that any fan of this series will love!
Of course, rereading this collection of comic strips makes me realise why I love Baby Blues so much!
And there is Wren, the latest addition to the MacPherson family. This book really turns everything that makes parents want to scream at their children as funny and memorable.
I went auwww at a few moments with Wren, she is a cute baby. Zoe and Hammie, as usual are always up for mischief :)
A good way to start the day, Our Server Is Down includes Hammie learning to wash dishes & Wren getting a fever. Other strips include adventures with tadpoles & a birthday party with a twist.
