I was surprised by the low ratings here. Of course it is an unauthorized guide, so the author tried to reverse-engineer how Jamie Oliver was thinking and taking decisions.
I have never seen any show with Jamie Oliver nor read one of his books, but for me he is the most present food-guy in any country and I was wondering how he achieved it. My takeaways from this book:
- collect a lot of experience and get a proper training in your primary field
- then add a bit of luck
- stay true to yourself and your mission in all your projects and businesses
- when having problems with your primary business focus on something bigger than your original business while staying true to your mission
- negotiate (especially to stay true to your mission)
- hire experienced and motivated people and really delegate responsibility
- find experienced partners when entering new markets

I also liked all the background information about Britain and other British enterpreneurs.
