I love authors who attempt to capture the language and lore of a particular place. Such is this collection of short stories about Hawaii. Tales of kids growing up, what it was like in the good old days. "Small kine anecdotes" bringing us closer to the neighbor next door....if you live in Hawaii. An attempt to portray what's going on in Hawaii that makes it unique from the rest of the United States, for those who don't live in Hawaii.
