A book that does go into the finite details of things authors should/could do, so I found that helpful. I found applying some of these thing not practical based on my location in the world.

What I always find amusing with these books is that they assume that there is a market for your writing, this is not the case for me, and I assume others, maybe it's just me. This is what many of these books assume, I wish they didn't. I have no idea who or where my market is, and this book suggests things, but I'm afraid for most Aussies they could not work.

I guess I don't think like an American, sometimes I wish I could.

I liked the book, it is worth recommending.

This book had so much great info on self publishing that each time I began reading it I found myself searching all the other sites, companies and authors that were mentioned in the book. Its like a self-publishing google search compiled into one book. It'll certainly help point new authors in the right directions and give them ideas on how to promote their books.

This was the first book I bought on publishing as I was deciding to write my own book and wanted to be familiar with the topic. The book is very organized and gives a lot of great tips. It's not as thorough as The Complete Guide to Self-Publishing (5th edition) by Marilyn Ross and Sue Collier, but it does provide a great amount of information in condensed form.

I found this book to be informative, but somewhat redundant. If you are into publishing your own non fiction, then I recommend it.
