EXTINCTION RESISTANCE: Episode 1 - Burger

This is Episode 1 of our sitcom. EXTINCTION RESISTANCE are taking non-violent direct action against the eco-crimes of modern society.Episode One sees EXTINCTION RESISTANCE take on deforestation and animal cruelty committed by the Happy Bear Burger company, and they're doing it in homemade fancy dress.This group of eco-warriors consists of some courageous but very ordinary individuals. One of them is a shape-shifting lizard-like alien / extraterrestrial. There are currently outlines for three other episodes. Each episode focuses around a specific campaign and in one episode, a training day.Episode two sees EXTINCTION RESISTANCE take on sleazy oil giant EFFO.Episode three sees our group undertake a training day.Episode four – and EXTINCTION RESISTANCE undertake an action against a GM food company.Both writers have had extensive experience of environmental activism, including arrests. Boy, oh boy, is this sitcom material!

About the author

Jeffrey Grant Rice was born in Providence, Rhode Island, USA in 1944. He spent his early childhood in Beverly Hills. He has been a Las Vegas resident since 1955.

Jeff Rice is best known as the author of The Kolchak Papers, a novel he finished on October 31, 1970. Rice’s novel was still unpublished when it was optioned for television and adapted for a TV audience as The Night Stalker. It subsequently had a brief print run when the Kolchak: The Night Stalker TV series grew in popularity. In 2007 Moonstone Books released a new edition which also includes the sequel, The Night Strangler.
