The opening chapter reviews the latest trends in the field of radiographic x-ray systems, describes the various machines available on the market, and identifies the characteristics of generators and x-ray tubes. Other topics include flat panel DR detectors, CCD digital radiographic detectors, AEC performance evaluation, quality control with digital receptors, equipment inspection, and the limitations of CRT displays.
