One day at church I came across this book called "Bible Promises For You" and I was wondering what this little book could be about. As I flipped through the pages I realized that it was a book that breaks down the promises of God from the New International Version Bible. I thought to myself this is a pretty cool little book.
This book offers a person several views from different verses from the bible. Meaning if a person wanted to locate a promise God made about faith the could look look at the table of contents to find what their looking for, they could do the same if their looking for promises from God about Courage. For example, on page 48 it says, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1 and an example for courage, on page 36 it says, "When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid." Psalm 56:3-4.
I read this book because it was for a more personal part of my life. Honestly, being a teenager thats a Christian is hard, so I read this just to know the promises that God made, this book has kicked started the engine for me to read the Bible.
I would honestly recommend this book to anyone. But for a person who just became a Christian, a teenager or a person who isn't sure what their looking for in a God, I would tell them to read this to understand what God has promised them.
It’s super helpful for breaking the Bible into small, manageable chunks along a central theme. It helped me in my devotional life to have some kind of focus for prayer and thought.
