Doris Emily Hendrickson lives in Reno, Nevada, with her husband, a retired airline pilot. Of all the many places she has traveled around the world, England is her favorite, and the most natural choice as the setting for her novels. In addition to her Regency romances, she has written a Regency Reference Book.

She is also the recipient of the Romantic Times award for the Best Regency of 1993 for Elizabeth's Rake and the Colorado Romance Writers 1997 Award of Excellence for The Debonair Duke. She is a nominee for the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award for Regency Romance.

Emily also enjoys stamps and stamping, and several of her flower designs, originally created for bookmarks for her Regencies, have been made into stamps.

Many of my books were re-published in England by Robert Hale Publishing House of London. My publisher requested that I use three pseudonyms for my English hard cover books. I chose the names: Emily Hendrickson, Emily Johnson, and Emily Harland.

Fun Regency romance. Lady Sara wants to marry for love and wishes the same for her friends. Each lady receives a list of suitors handpicked by Lady Sara's aunts. Lady Sara refuses to consider the first name on her list after a failed attempt to capture his interest, but Lord St. Quinton will not be dismissed so easily. This humorous cat and mouse story and snapshot of Regency society rules and games of courtship will make you laugh out loud.

Just because I was bored, I went to read this book again.

I am not a big fan of regency, or romance, but maybe because I frst read this book when I was a little girl, it always has a special place in my heart, and I love it to bits.

Plus, I love the main character's aunts and friends, and it is a very heavily female book which is unusual or where most females are rivals and evil.

A social chess match of a regency, with a group of four lady friends trying to make the best of their situations and one man taking unfair advantage to spike Sara's plans. Nice use of a driving plot, and once again characters you care about and hope the best for; both elements made this a cosy for a cold evening's read.
