Kun äiti saa tietää poikansa pääsevänsä vankilasta lomalle, hän ei lähde poikaa vastaan. Ei, sen sijaan äiti menee kellariin piiloon. Mitä pojan ja äidin välillä on oikein tapahtunut? Miksi äiti pelkää aikuista poikaansa niin paljon? Äiti alkaa keriä auki tapahtumia, jotka alkoivat perheen isän kuolemasta. Pian äidin oven takana seisovat kuitenkin poliisit. Mitä on tapahtunut ja kenelle?



Kirjailija Eeva Tikka (s.1939) on julkaissut monipuolisesti niin proosaa, runoja kuin lastenkirjallisuutta. Hän on opiskellut kasvitiedettä Helsingin yliopistossa.

The plot is simple, A son is coming home from a vacation from jail and his mother is to afraid to confront him so she hides away in the basement. Actually, It's a rare monolog of a tired and disappointed mother on her life, her son (mainly) and her husband. Where did she go wrong, what had she done good and other important question a man asks himself in moment of crisis or in the moment he understand that his time has come.
personally, I do not like th style of writing, but as a book it makes you look at yourself and your life once again, and maybe even in diferent perspective.
