It’s just a taste of what is to come, but it was a spicy one that definitely whetted the appetite for more! After all the longing glances, simmering chemistry, and combative encounters, these two throw caution to the wind for ‘just one night’. We get that night, and the set-up for that to epically fail, with this story 😉

The novella hits all the right notes for a steamy holiday read, with a particularly memorable moment—their first kiss in an elevator. Carr skillfully captures the intensity of the moment, making it a highlight of the story. The close quarters and the underlying tension between the characters make this encounter electric, leaving readers with a delightful sense of anticipation for what comes next.

I love a good erotic holiday romance, and what makes it even better is when the heat has been building between the characters for several novels and we know that the fire is about to explode. Mari Carr has been giving us glimpses of the fireworks to come between Matt Russo and Liza Moretti for a long time now, and we get just a little glimpse into this sexy holiday romance. Naughty and Nice is the story of Matt and Liza finally giving into the tension and need they’ve been fighting in a big way with one night of passion. Neither of these two think it is a good idea to give in, but neither of them can resist the other any longer and finding the connection to one another is more than they can fight anymore. Losing themselves in one another for one heated, sexy, and fantastic night is just what the doctor ordered to allow them to get over the pull they’ve been fighting, but when they unleash their hidden desires, they quickly understand they’ve made a big mistake and they are in way over their heads. Matt has never allowed his lust and dark needs free reign with another woman the way he does with Liza and she gives him everything he needs, meeting him and his needs every step of the way. I always enjoy Mari Carr’s stories. She writes excellent characters. This is an enemies to lovers book, but there isn’t so much angst that it makes it unenjoyable. I flew through this book. It was a steamy one night stand book. Liza and Matt can’t stay away from each other even though their families have had a feud for forever. She thinks he’s annoying, but he does something for her. I was intrigued by the novella. I will trust Mari to deliver a happily ever after in January.

Wow oh wow! This enemies to lovers story is just HOT! Who knew that you could discover something new about yourself with just one night. These two have more chemistry than a science class. 😂! I can't wait to see what happens next. Will they stay away or will they discover they can mend family history.

Will this be the end of the Moretti/Russo feud or just add fuel to the fire? Liza and Matt scorched my kindle and I have to believe that this “relationship” would be nothing if not volatile.

Wow, this was verrrry hot. 😯🥵 Matt Russo felt naturally dominant, and Liza was not a weak character, so there was oodles of sexual tension which led to the aforementioned very hot sex.
What it did *not* lead to was a HEA, because this is actually a prequel to their full length story! I didn’t realise until literally the last 2 minutes of the audiobook, but I’m also glad because I need more of Matt and Liza. I’ll probably read the earlier books in the series first though, to catch all their interactions.

Naughty and Nice by Mari Carr is a one-night stand enemies to lovers holiday romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Marina Barrett and Theo Sinclair.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Matt and Liza. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
I can't wait for the next book in the series Tempted and Taken to be released on January 9, 2024, so I can get more of Matt and Liza's story.

OMG absolutely loved this introduction to Matt and Liza's steamy relationship. Seriously, the chemistry between these two are so hot you'll need a fan to cool down. Now we just have to wait till next year for Tempted and Taken to come out so we can continue reading their story. The only thing that I found wrong with this is that it is too short, but then again, I am very greedy for Mari's books.

I feel like I have been waiting for this story since the beginning of the series. I just knew with Liza’s constant complaining about Matt that this was a definite enemies to lovers story. Wow did it not disappoint!! This was a short preview of what is to come between Matt and Liza, and I cannot wait! It is going to be an amazing story! There are definitely some background on these two that we do not know, and I cannot wait to find out!

Short but steamy! Book 6 of Italian Stallions Series gives us a teaser that will have you wanting more of Liza and Matt’s story. Their relationship takes a turn after a night with dates ends differently when they find themselves together. I loved the sizzle and chemistry between the characters and I cannot wait to see what happens next in this newest release that does disappoint.

A tease!
A well written, hot story, but still only a tease. If you have read any of the previous books of this series - I have read only the first one - then you know who Matt and Lisa are. As the title indicates, this is "one night." A hot night, but one night. We get left hanging with a promise of another book after the first. A marketing tool! It gets the three stars because I did read it, I did finish I it, I even mostly enjoyed it. But I am also disappointed that I wasted time on an unfinished story and now need to wait and find another book to see how it ends. I do not like cliffhangers!

Wow, this is a fantastic enemies-to-lovers romance and an explosive start and introduction to Liza Moretti and Matt Russo’s story. The Moretti and Russo family have history, a family feud that carried on for generations, but that is not the only reason Liza disliked Matt, he is an arrogant and entitled billionaire, too. Liza, who works for a non-profit, is running the gala fundraiser, and against her better judgement, she brought a date that turned out to be a disaster. Liza had caught Matt’s attention prior to the gala, and he had his eye on her that evening, knowing her date went south he could make his move. The chemistry between these two is sizzling hot, Liza feels that and gives into her desires just for the night and the two were magic together. I loved how everything played out in the book, the writing, plot and world building is fantastic, as are the character growth and development. This is just a tease of what’s coming and ends with you wanting to know what happens next for these two. Mari Carr, thank you for another amazing story!

Okay...so...this story immediately hijacked my attention. Liza and Matt have sparks flying that you can see coming a mile away. The whole family enemies deal just made me that much more anxious to see the outcome because I could just sense this had been brewing for years, but the whole forbidden deal kept them at arm's length attempting to keep up the pretenses...but eventually they were gonna combust. There is so much more to Matt I am desperate to learn...there is some undue torture going on in that broody mind and an achingly sweet lover somewhere underneath, I just know...BUT that brings me to why I wanted to scream when this audio ended! Flipping cliffhanger! I was hanging on every word, just waiting for the secrets to be revealed, pretty much with bated breathe as I worked around the house, so invested in these two getting over theirselves, and bam! "Thank you for listening..." what?!? And these characters have not been far from my mind since...I pretty quickly went investigating and discovered their full book releases in January...impatiently taps fingers on table... Sigh... As far as a teaser prequel though, this has it all.... just want to help others realize beforehand it is a cliffhanger so you're not left flabbergasted like me. Narration of course was awesome by Marina Barrett and Theo Sinclair.
