Can an exhausted leader keep his people alive for one more day?
Day 7. Factions of survivors are already forming around the Fort Myers area and not everyone is keen on Frank's style of diplomatic cooperation. Some have witnessed the earlier assaults on Clownfish Cove and have studied the group's weaknesses. Frank and his people have been fortifying their subdivision since the earlier attacks, trying to fix the biggest problems, but will it be enough?
His security issues are brought to the forefront when a surprising intruder puts Frank's life at risk...
As darkness falls, Frank and his people board the beached cargo ship, hoping to find food, weapons, and maybe a few answers.
With enemies lurking everywhere, he will need his wits and his guns to see the next sunrise...
Please note, there will be more than six books. I have plans for 8 to 10 titles in this adventure. Possibly more...
E.E. Isherwood has been a storyteller for over 30 years. Initially the muse took the form of childish comic strips. As a teen it manifested itself under the guise of Dungeons and Dragons adventures. In college it culminated with a Master's thesis on Missouri geography—an extremely boring kind of story. Three decades and several careers later he realized that siren song never stopped, so he began to author books. A life-long enthusiast of apocalyptic fiction, writing about zombies was his passion. Future titles in science fiction and fantasy are in the hopper. He lives in the St. Louis, Missouri area, where his series of zombie books takes place.
I am enjoying this unusual post apocalyptic series set in the suburbs of Fort Meyers Florida. The characters are memorable, adventures are plentiful and storyline is plausible... Nice.
Neighborhood Watch 6 - a review by Rosemary Kenny.
In Clownfish Cove, former trucker and survivalist book fan, "Uncle" Frank aka Gandalf, has organised fellow neighbours and survivors into defensive groups to guard the perimeters of each part of the area, scavenge for survivors and ensure adequate food and water supplies in previous series episodes. As you learn more about Frank and others' personal challenges, care for loved ones and the other residents in the neighborhood, and the conflicts with both foreign and domestic combatants, you'll thrill to the intensity and sensitivity of the various relationships and outcomes emerging in each chapter. Neighborhood Watch 6 is a 5-star winner from E.E. Isherwood's near-future entertaining series of the same name...get it today and buckle up for a very wild ride to guaranteed satisfaction!
This is book six and I was a bit startled to see that barely a week had passed since the EMP. It seems a bit unrealistic that everything that has happened so quickly. There were a few minor grammar errors (weak instead of week) and some oddly structured sentences, but overall the writing was fine. Like some of the earlier books, it felt like there was a lot of padding and unnecessary detail to draw out the story. We do get a lot of big action at the end, some of which may not be resolved until a subsequent book. This is honestly a 3-3.5 star book, but I still like these people well enough to bump it.
EE Isherwood has done it again! Within the action packed pages of the Neighborhood Watch series are realistic and highly likable characters which I have come to care about, as if, they are old friends. The world is so well described that I can easily see it in my mind. And I love the, ever evolving, map. The drama is unfolding in each page and I sincerely hope Isherwood’s imagination and expertise will carry NW for another 10+ books! I highly recommend this series, as well as, all of his work.
I am so invested in Frank and all of his people. As I read this, I felt like I was right there on Clownfish Cove with action happening all around. I can't wait to find out what happens on day 8. And day 9, 10, and beyond.
I’ve really enjoyed this series so far it’s one of my favorite apocalyptic fiction series yet, it’s up there with going home and borrowed world. It many ways I like this one best. Looking forward to book 7
The characters seem like people that you either know or would want to know. The problems they face seem as if they could happen especially after the breakdown of our supply chains during and after Covid.
Probably the most non-stop of the series so far and easy to get lost in but difficult to put down. The interaction between the Sheriff and the community is different but probably true as to what certain types would do in a time such as the one depicted.
A different kind of apocalypse book. Lots of different characters. A story of getting together to survive. A good read holding your interest. I hope there will be lots more by Isherwood! ,,,
Please don't let it end , ever. Love this series. You write so that we feel and hear everything.! I truly am in love with Frank. He owned his own trucking company and I , personally, drove semis 23 years cross country. 😊😊
I have so enjoyed this series. It keeps me turning pages as fast as I can read them. The characters are full and so well written. Can't wait for books 7&8.
You used to many pronouns. Too many I me mine myself. Frank might be a good guy you make him seem self centered by all the pronouns . Gets boring to read
