Beautiful story of a women’s evolution

A book filled with spice and steaminess but evolved to more than that. Charissa’s life went different directions as her heart was pulled along with it. Her emotions and desire to be loved and cherished evolved into her realizing that she was more than a man’s arm candy. She became the desired one instead of her searching for desire. Loved the book and anticipation of reading it over and over again. Thank you!

Unfinished Business is a very spicy romance that grips the reader early and continues to hold the grip the whole read. Protagonist Charissa is both fantastical yet relatable in this captivating story, an excellent fresh mash-up of classic 'love-triangle' and 'missed opportunities' tropes.

This is a fun read that indulges our base fantasies while simulating the question of what it means to explore our own sense of self-worth.

I had the sincere pleasure of watching this story take shape, and I am genuinely delighted by the story Natasha has told here. It's a story of female sexuality and female empowerment, of claiming one's future and of reclaiming one's past. Charissa is a wonderful character, and her erotic awakening is almost as satisfying as her emotional one. What could have been just a fun tale of sexual exploration is given meaning by the past that leaves her so conflicted and confused.

There are so many exquisite visuals within the story, encounters so vivid you can almost touch them, and the dialogue (especially when it's painful) is vibrant and genuine. Love triangles can be tricky things, but I loved how it was navigated here, and how we don't really know until the very end which way her heart will lead.

This is an excellent read! I highly recommend this book. Natasha Carter really set the bar high on her premier novel. If you are into romance novels with descriptive intimacy and a good story line, this book is for you.

The story follows an author named Charrisa, who has been in love with Robert most of her life. Unfortunately, their paths never quite aligned for the long term relationship. Then she meets Tristen who is everything Robert is not yet still very much alluring. Conflict. What is Charissa to do? Who will she choose? And most importantly, why?

I am not going to give spoilers in this review. The book is just that good that I feel everyone should read it for themselves.

What I liked about the story is that Natasha has great character development. All characters develop. She writes mostly from Charissa's point of view, with a couple of chapters of Tristen's thoughts thrown in. I kind of wanted her to write Robert's point of view but I understand why she didn't. I think that if she did, she would have given the ending away prematurely. So I see that as a good move. What I liked most about the story is that the characters felt real. You can see them, like watching a movie. And I have always said that if you read a book and you follow the story like if it were on the big screen, that book is a winner.

I can't say enough good things about this book. Again, I highly recommend it. And I look forward to Natasha's next novel.

This is not a romance novel at all. It took until the second half of the book to find a plot.

The title of the book has nothing to do with the story. It is misleading.

The sex scenes, after the first one, were boring and needless. I just fast forwarded through them.
Infact the other parts of the book exist just to have something to hold the sex scenes.

The main character and the male characters were unrealistic in everything. She kept flipping back and forth between them.
Well this is fiction and novel writers can do that, but we want some reality in there too.
And we want good literature, of which this not.

This was a great book! Charissa Collins was a new author who was having her first book signing. Everything was going well until her old flame Robert shows up there. She had broken up with him and the pain from that breakup is still raw. She then ends up connecting with a man named Tristen. The sexual energy between her and Robert and her and Tristen leaves Charissa confused.
The sex scenes with Robert and Tristen are intense and keep the story moving.
Natasha has done very well with her debut album and I am looking forward to her subsequent novels.

We always think about the one that got away. I like this book because the one that got away wasn’t what they hoped for. Sometimes a wake up call in life is just the slap in the face we need.
I read this book in less than a 1/2 a day. I was satisfied with the ending.
My husband was a winner of this signed copy and I got to read it. Thank you Natasha for giving me a new author to read. Can’t wait to read more!

Not my usual genre, but... WOW!

I downloaded this book and gave it a try because I stumbled across the author on Twitter. She is active, engages with people, and is genuinely funny. So I thought I'd give her book a shot, hoping it would be similar. I didn't even know the genre when I started reading it... It was an incredible read, kept me turning the pages for sure. Very happy I gave this book a chance and can't wait for the next one!

If you don't care for explicit sex scenes in your romance novels, you may want to skip this one, as it has many of them. That said, there's a lot more going on in this story than sex. Carter has zeroed in on just how frail the human condition can be when we let our emotions and fantasies rule our decision making. That means, this is a good story.

Loveddddddd It. Natasha did an amazing job with character development and made the main character Charissa someone you can root for and empathize with. The book evoked a wide range of emotions that made for an exciting read. I hope there is a sequel as I am not ready to say goodbye to the characters.

This book is so amazing, hard to believe it's her first. The depth of the characters, the plot, the descriptions used. Everything flows smoothly and talk about emotions and passion. Following the MC through her emotional and erotic journey was well, intoxicating. So much steamy and so much desire to read more. Cannot wait for her next project.

Having never read a book like this before I was hooked from the beginning. The characters lived quite a life, a fun, sexy romp from start to finish. I have never read anything like this and well I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for us

Spicy, sexy and sometimes even smutty. Ok, so that’s what I like. Not run-of-the-mill repetitive dialog, but rather richly imaginative. Good character development and an interesting story line. Thanks, Natasha ! Looking forward to more.

This book was HOT. The scenes in it were very spicy, but it's more than that. You can really identify with Charissa as she struggles to find her way and be with the right man. It took me about a day to read this book. I couldn't put it down!

This is a terrific read with well-written, interesting characters. The pace is fast and the challenges faced by the characters plausible and compelling. The main character is complex enough to carry the story and her internal dialogues fascinating. I really had fun with this book and wound up staying up until the wee hours in order to finish. Cannot wait for more from this author!

UNFINISHED BUSINESS - A Book Review

I normally have no interest in traditional erotic fiction even though I dabble in a sub-genre, however, this is a very well written novel with only a couple of editing misses that are so common on Kindle books. It’s a quick read with superb pacing.

Unfinished Business tells the story of Charissa (Rissa) as she embarks on a sexual and emotional journey of self-discovery.

Natasha is an excellent storyteller.

Her protagonist is a very interesting character. If Rissa was a real woman I would feel for her. Navigating human relationships is so challenging and even more so if you’re a strong, sexually indulgent woman trying to recognise and accept her true nature.

She embodies many of the struggles modern women deal with.

The two male characters in her orbit evoke similar emotions yet are strikingly different in how they interact with Rissa. I found myself shouting “she better not” if I thought she was going to do something against her own best interest when dealing with these men.

The eroticism is compelling and many times I got the feeling the author had to experience some of these scenes to describe it so effectively.

If you’re looking for a nice piece of erotic fiction that avoids many of the cliches, while telling a compelling story of desire, longing and love without being vulgar this novel is for you.

This masterpiece of: angst, passion, sadness, happiness and the art of description plus the many dichotommies is genius! If you don't read this you are missing out on a wild ride that spiderwebs in many amazing directions! It's the best book I've ever read. Elicits so many emotions and makes you feel deeply about all the characters. Most will mention the fiery, steamy sex scenes...yes, they deserve to be mentioned but this Novel is much deeper than the fiery erotca. I could go on about this work of art forever, but let me speak on the author: She is one of the kindest souls you'll meet and I know she poured/pours everything she is and has into her writing. I was lucky enough to see/hear some of the process, watching it come together was an honor of a life time. I thank you for this precious gift...can't wait for the next one!

I picked up this book because I've followed Natasha on Twitter since last fall.

Reading this book was an adventure, and I loved the characters of Charissa and Tristan. Even Robert, the third point in the love triangle, was relatable but always gave off an odd vibe.

Natasha included sizzling scenes between the lovers, including one threesome that was very well done. The emotions that swirled in the nexus of that scene were appropriate and revelatory. Charissa's journey of self-discovery includes a lot of internal dialogue and well-thought-out discussions between the main characters. I enjoyed the journey, and it gave me plenty to think about, even beyond the erotic scenes.

Well done!

I started reading on Kindle Unlimited, then paid for the book to keep it in my library.

If I’d had the uninterrupted time available I’d have just sat and read this cover to cover. The pace of the story varies but even when it slows a little you’re left wanting to keep reading. I didn’t want to put it down but, sometimes the “real world” calls.

The characters and situations are fully 3-dimensional and believable. They’re learn things about themselves and each other. I’ve seen people live out these sorts of scenarios and not everyone’s been happy at the end.

I highly recommend Unfinished Business by Natasha Carter.

Unfinished Business was a well written book that I enjoyed. Tristen? Robert? Who will it be? To me the story was all about timing and finding the right one. Would Rissa choose the right person that came into her life at the wrong time, or the wrong person that she was more familiar with? Was the winner of her heart going to be the person that told her the right things that she couldn’t trust or the person that told her the honest truth even if it was what she didn’t want to hear?

Find out, read the book, its spicy and worth the adventure.

Eye opening

This is an interesting book, with lots of fun ideas. I’m particularly intrigued by the idea that it started as a writing exercise (rite something spicy), which then became this. Definitely a good writer, and someone I look forward to seeing more from.

I got a copy of UB from my friend who follows Natasha on Twitter. I saw the book on his desk and I questioned why he was reading what looked like a book for bored housewives. The cover was extremely cliche and just looked like something my grandmother would have thought was scandalous back in the 80s and would have paired it with a Bartles and James wine cooler.

He assured me this was definitely not your average smut book. And it was in fact so much deeper and thought provoking. He said the characters had depth and the plot was fantastic. He never reads so I wasn’t really putting too much weight on his review. I never trust people who like books that never read.

And this is a perfect example of why.

I literally read this book in a half hour. I skimmed through the “spicy” parts. Which were awful btw. I read one and it was so cringy I decided to not read the rest. The banter …or lack thereof, between Charissa and her suitors was awful. There was absolutely no reason IMO why these men wanted her so badly other than she was an easy target. I actually laughed out loud when one called her a genius and one said he was creatively inspired by her. She didn’t utter one intelligent or witty line throughout the entire book!

All they had to do was call her a goddess and she would spread her legs immediately. In fact I think she did it in a restaurant. This book was loaded with boring inner dialogue. The men were pervy and scummy. One is married and the other one is polyamorous. SPOILER ALERT: She ends up with the polyamorous one at the end who claims he loves her. But yet still wants to have sex with others.

I feel like this character needs so much therapy. There was nothing sexy or empowering about reading about a woman who is obviously being used by two very unavailable and very damaged men. And maybe she allows it cause she’s lonely. She had no friends to talk to throughout the story. At one point she calls her mom or sister or something. But no girlfriends to steer her away from her constant poor choices.

I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone who actually reads on a regular basis. I’m questioning if this author reads herself. Because this was nothing remotely close to a decent romance or even smut book. It missed beats. It lacked plot. The characters fell completely flat.

👉Talking about the title of the book, the title of the book is really so interesting to read.

👉The cover is appealing and attractive as well.Writing style is appreciable .This is such a captivating story! It leaves you wanting more until the very end. Unfinished Business by Natasha Carter is a captivating romance novel that beautifully combines passionate and intimate encounters with a deeper, more meaningful exploration of love and personal growth. While the book contains plentiful sex scenes, it goes beyond mere physicality, delving into the emotional and psychological aspects of the characters' connection.

The story follows the lives of three complex individuals, involved in disparate relationships. Carter skillfully weaves together explicit scenes with moments of vulnerability, allowing readers to witness the characters' emotional evolution alongside their physical interactions.

What sets "Unfinished Business” apart from other erotic romance novels is its ability to infuse these intimate encounters with a deeper meaning. The sex scenes serve as vehicles for the characters' self-discovery, healing, and overcoming personal obstacles. They are not simply gratuitous, but rather integral to the story's progression and the development of the characters' relationship.

Carter’s writing style is sensual and evocative, painting vivid pictures of passion and desire. However, she also delves into the characters' inner thoughts and emotions, skillfully intertwining the physical and emotional aspects of their connection. This balance gives the book a sense of depth and authenticity, making it more than just a steamy romance.

In addition to the sensual aspects, "Unfinished Business” explores themes of trust, personal growth, and the power of vulnerability within a relationship. The characters' journeys are relatable and thought-provoking, allowing readers to reflect on their own experiences and relationships.

Overall, the book is a well-crafted romance novel that I thoroughly enjoyed and I, for one, can’t wait for Carter’s next effort.

Spice, Drama, and Self-Discovery: A Rollercoaster Ride through Natasha Carter’s ‘Unfinished Business’

"Unfinished Business" by Natasha Carter is a rollercoaster ride through the tumultuous landscape of love and desire, with pit stops at self-discovery and resolution. It's like a spicy salsa dance between the pages, where the protagonist, Charissa, is both the dancer and the dance.

The book begins with a bang, or rather, a book signing. Charissa bumps into her old flame, Robert, and the sparks fly faster than a popcorn in a hot pan. But wait, there's more! Enter Tristen, a charming stranger who makes Charissa forget Robert, at least temporarily. It's a love triangle that Pythagoras himself would be proud of.

Carter navigates the stormy seas of this love triangle with the skill of an experienced sailor, keeping the reader hooked with sizzling scenes and emotional whirlwinds. But it's not all about the steam. At its heart, "Unfinished Business" is a journey of self-discovery that's as satisfying as finding the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle.

Charissa's transformation from a woman seeking love to a woman who realizes she is the embodiment of love is as refreshing as a cold lemonade on a hot summer day. She's no longer chasing desire; she becomes the chased.

In short, "Unfinished Business" is a spicy romance novel that's more layered than a stack of pancakes. It's a captivating story that's as unpredictable as a game of snakes and ladders, with characters that are as real as your reflection in a mirror.

So, if you're looking for a book that's a perfect blend of spice, drama, and self-discovery, served with a side of witty dialogue and relatable characters, "Unfinished Business" should be your next read. It's a book that keeps on giving, right up to the very last page. So, buckle up and enjoy the ride!
