A GHOST FROM THE PAST RETURNS! The Silver Surfer thought he buried his friend Al Harper years ago - but he thought wrong! Can the Surfer save Al from succumbing to his newfound cosmic abilities? And who or what transformed Al into the otherworldly Ghost Light?
This issue has its moments, but overall it really wasn’t as good as the first issue. I’d like to point out 2 things: 1) There is a grammatical error on the title page, third paragraph under Previously… “Is he the key to unraveling the this small town’s mysteries?” Ugh! Where is the editor?! 2) On page 9, while talking to himself, out loud, why would the Stranger vocalize Al B. Harper? The B. should be removed. It’s unnecessary. There is only one Al Harper in this storyline. Sigh.
It’s really cool to follow the journey of this guy who’s an all new superhero. I don’t generally get into cosmic type characters but the fact he’s African American along with his connection with Silver Surfer piqued my interest.
I like the way the origin of the Ghost Light was explained. I'm a first time reader and was brought up to speed very quickly. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoy new characters.
