Sinful Crown is another amazing story by Ava Harrison. Gideon and Sasha were just so fantastic together. I loved how protective he was of her and how he just knew she was a gamechanger when he first saw her. This story was sexy and addicting and I was obsessed from the beginning!
What I loved more than anything was how sassy Sasha was. She was nothing that Gideon expected but everything that he needed. She was the exception to every one of his rules. I was also high key obsessed with how #boyobsessed he was. I love that he even schemed and planned to make Sasha his.
Overall this was a quick and sexy read that will leave you looking up Harrison's backlist to read about the sexy af men in Gideon's group chat lol! I am so ready for more! 5 stars! ~Ratula

I love a good Mafia romance and from the title alone, I knew that I wanted Sinful Crown. The danger, the forbidden aspect along with the dilemma of keeping one safe and ruling your empire with an iron fist.
Gideon Byrne is a no nonsense business man and the last thing that he needs is a complication. Being a man of his word and keeping a promise, he makes it his mission to find a woman who might be in danger. But what awaits him is anything but calm and settling and in order to protect her, Gideon has to be the known ruthless man that everyone whispers about.
Sasha has been trying her best to keep her head above water and stay in her own quiet bubble. Going to work and practicing music on her cello is the only excitement in her life right now and she's more than okay with that. But one night turns into utter chaos when she comes face to face with the walking danger himself. Can Gideon keep his promise to protect Sasha or is he more of a threat?
I really enjoyed the first half of the story and I really liked the chemistry between the main characters. You felt it from the very beginning and when you add in the push and pull that they were giving off, it was entertaining in a way. Somewhere throughout the second half of the story,things changed and that spark and need to see how everything was going to play out quickly diminished. I needed more action and not things to be dragged out only for it to speed up towards the end.
Aside from that, this was a decent read and if you're a fan of this author’s work and mafia romance, then you should give this one a try.

It's mafia boss and a hapless victim love story caught in a violent tornado.
Close proximity aka forced abduction.
Gabriel Byrne makes a promise to dying Roman Lennox that he'd tale care of his sister, Sasha.
Only problem, she's stunning and snags his attention.
So saving her and then keeping ehr become his end goal.
It's fast paced, full of mob henchmen two timing each other, lots of killings and torture and ultimate twist was towards the end.
I liked reading this fast and furious story

Sinful Crown is a delicious dark romance with captor/ captive vibes and an MMC obsessed with the FMC.
Did I read this because of the Narrator (Jacob Morgan)? Yes, and I regret nothing!
Gideon, the MMC, gives all the possessive "touch her, and I'll kill you" vibes, and I was so here for it! His dry humor and thoughts were even better through Jacob Morgan's performance. I freaking loved being in his head!
While Sasha started as a more timid, quiet girl, she quickly showed her feisty side. She knew something felt fishy and didn't let her attraction overrule her common sense. I appreciated her giving as much back as she got.
I loved how slowly their relationship developed, and the tension between these two was great. I also LOVED that Gideon called her firefly. I'm a sucker for unique pet names, and this hit that sweet spot where it didn't feel weird or too basic.
While the beginning captured me right away, the last third of the story started to drag on a little. But I'm happy with how everything ended.
Overall, I really enjoyed Sinful Crown and can only recommend the audiobook. (Jacob Morgan is the best. You're so missing out if you haven't listened to an audiobook narrated by him yet.)
Definitely not my last Ava Harrison book!

this was my first book by this author and i was pleasantly surprised! the book was fast paced and immediately kinda just got to the point (honestly which i liked when i picked this up). the fmc brother dies (he’s essentially on the wrong path and mixed with the wrong group of people) and gideon (H) promised to keep his sister safe because she would be in danger. this was actually the brother’s request to him.
gideon stalks sasha before he eventually just takes her with him to his place. sasha is a feisty character, and the whole firefly name is cute as well. gideon knows having her under his roof is a horrible idea but he’s already become obsessed with her. at this point having her is inevitable. obviously we know where this goes and how that turns out for him lol.
currently in my reading slump phase but this was an enjoyable, fast read and id recommend it especially to those who haven’t read avas books ! i’m definitely checking out the rest to cure me from this slump brb🤭

Gideon is a drug lord. Roman was friends with Gideon, but he pretty much betrayed Gideon. During Roman's last minutes, he asked Gideon to protect his sister because she's in danger. Gideon has no idea who she is, but he promised to protect her. When he found her, he was totally attracted to her.

I loved this sinful, suspenseful and steamy romance book. It had all the dark elements you expect from a dark romance story with strong characters and interesting twists.
Their chemistry is slowly burning and while it’s a kidnapping romance, he is definitely not the villain. Gideon has such a soft spot for Sasha and while he reigns his business and family with an iron hand, she is the one that brings him on his knees when it comes to love and what his heart desires.

Sinful Crown by Ava Harrison is an enemies to lovers romance. Gideon, our hero, has those super possessive "touch her and die" vibes for sure. It starts as a promise to a dying friend and ends with Gideon deciding he is too attracted to Sasha to let her go. Throw in the mafia ties and crazy danger and you have a pretty provocative read!
While Sasha is a bit hapless, she isn't timid. She doesn't take too much crap from Gideon. But it isn't just Gideon who is attracted; Sasha feels it too and they build a really strong relationship. Given Gideon's profession, there is lots of danger. Given Gideon's dirty mouth, there is lots of sexy times.
I was sucked in pretty early, but the later part of the story seemed to drag. It went from lighting fast to crawling. Maybe it was just me? I had something similar happen with another recent mafia read. That is really my only complaint about the story. Ava Harrison is a new to me author and I enjoyed Sinful Crown overall.

It starts off rather quickly and pulls you in immediately to the story line/plot
Sasha is a Feisty character and she’s struggling to make ends meet living in her own. She has big dreams of going to Juilliard. Her brother is a drug addict mixed with the wrong people. Her brother Roman steals money from the Russians and they believe that he gave it to Sasha. There is a bounty on her.
Roman’s dying request he asks Gideon to please watch over and protect his sister. The sister Gideon knew nothing of. Gideon promises to keep her safe.
Gideon falls for Sasha and her fiery strength.
The banter between these too is 🔥 and so is the tension brewing between them.
This book was such a quick read, the plot is good and fast paced. There is a little spice. If you like the tropes mentioned then I’d recommend this.

What an emotional rollercoaster! I love a good mafia read and this one did not disappoint. Gideon is a drug lore leader who promised a friend while he was dying that he would watch over his sister because she was being hunted by the Russians… but Gideon did not know how he was signing his life away in the process 😈.
Sasha is a hard headed bad ass FMC i love how she wasn’t scared of who Gideon was and spoke her mind regardless.
This book is full of triggers but in a good way the action keeps you on the edge of your seat along with the mystery of why Sasha has the bounty on her head!
I will definitely recommend this book to all my mafia romance readers! So grateful to have gotten to read this before release day!

Is there anything better than touch her and you die vibes. No nope none there is none . Enjoyed this read , the come out of left field and get floored by the beauty trope, that gets me every single time. I enjoyed Gideon and Sasha's relationship, which was all enemies and the hate that rolled out of Sasha. This book was all worth it for the end . Loved it!

How much do we love a good stalker romance mixed with a mafia romance?
This book is a mix of the two. Gideon is a drug lord, who has connections with the underworld. One night he promises Roman, a drug dealer friend turned consumer of his own product, to take care of his sister, who may be targeted by the same criminals he worked for. That same night Roman dies.
Sasha, Roman's sister, is unaware of the life her brother led, having not had a relationshipvwith him for years, so when she is kidnapped by Gideon who locks her up in his house to protect her, she is very surprised to learn what her brother had done. She would like to run away from this man who snatched her from her life for no apparent reason and of whom she is afraid but from whom she feels hopelessly attracted.
Their chemistry is amazing throughout the book, but I didn't appreciate how slow it was in reaching a turning point and how quickly it all wrapped up. Basically nothing happens for 60% of the book and the ending is too rushed for me. This is why the stars are 4. I was expecting much more action between the two mafia "gangs", but we have more or less two scenes.
Despite this I loved Gideon and Sasha, there is a real growth of the two characters: Sasha realizes that she is not as small and defenseless as she thought, and Gideon brings out his emotions and the extremely sweet and caring for the people she loves.
In conclusion I was expecting much more, but I was not completely disappointed.

A promise made means now Gideon Byrne is about to find the sister Roman asked him to protect. Gideon had no idea that Sasha would end up being the one. Yeah, that one. The one he instantly deems his. He just has to get through all the obstacles in their way like Sasha's own sassiness, and of course all the men coming after her on the lookout for something she says she doesn't have, has no idea of.
Mafia/underground/super possessive anti-hero check, check, and check! The author knows her way around a good mafia romance, and that's what we have here. Gideon is the alpha obsessive possessive type and Sasha the sassy one who doesn't come around easily. There's suspense, action, and two people falling in love. If you love it when the guy falls first, and makes sure no one stands in his way, then this is definitely the story for you.

Gideon Byrne is at the top of his world. A hard-nosed businessman, feared drug lord, he isn't a man to cross. He reluctantly grants a man's dying wish to protect his sister, and comes to find more trouble than he bargained for.
Sasha Lennox is a young woman used to disappointment. Her older brother is a drug addict and not above stealing her meager savings. Learning of his death sends her reeling. Meeting Gabriel Byrne knocks her out of orbit.
Gideon is obsessed with Sarah, and kidnaps her to thwart a death threat brought on by the actions of her brother. Sarah just wants to go home, and she's not afraid to let Gideon know exactly what she thinks of him, his kidnapping of her, and his less than savory business practices.
It's a race against an unknown threat and Sarah finally finding a way to escape. Their love story is steamy, and filled with twists and turns. We've come to expect nothing less from Ava Harrison, and she delivers.
This Mafia world is one we've visited before, and characters from others books make an appearance. I just want to say, Mafia-Men group texts are a thing, and not to be missed.
Que up some Yo-Yo Ma or Hauser cello pieces, and settle back to enjoy Sinful Crown. You'll never find classical cello boring again.

When I first saw the blurb for Sinful Crown, I knew it would be a book I would want to read. Ava Harrison has a way of storytelling that draws you in and won’t let you go. And that is precisely what happened with this book. Gideon Byrne is an intense alpha man. He meets Avery, a woman who is unaware of a threat. They meet under. Interesting circumstances. The two of them share a connection that is unlike anything they have ever felt. Ava Harrison does a fantastic job of building up the suspense and intrigue in this story. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading. I loved the characters and the complex relationship they had. I was anxious to see what would happen next. It is a fantastic story that I highly recommend. The audiobook is narrated by Jacob Morgan and Stella Hunter, two talented narrators that did excellent pacing and voice to their characters. I recommend getting the audio version.

I love a good dark, twisty romance with characters you probably aren't supposed to like. This one checked all the boxes.
Gideon and Sasha are fantastic together, even if they probably shouldn't be...but that is really the whole point of books like this, making you somewhat wonder why you even want them to be together...and yet you do.
This one was quite a ride, it was a wonderful story, I believed the connection between them, and, as I mentioned, I wanted them to be together...and that is exactly what I want from a story like this.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

3.5🌟s! I am a total sucker for the “touch her and die” trope and this was a perfect example. When Sasha is abducted for her own protection and learns that her life is in danger, she cannot believe it. All she wants is out.
Gideon gets way more than he expected when he agrees to his dying friend’s last wish. He finds an obsession with Sasha. He may just find his heart.
This moved slow for me while Sasha was living at Gideon’s compound, but the end was compelling. Lots of twists and turns. In a world where people have no integrity, expect anything!

Great storyline! Lots of twists and surprises. I love Gideon, and getting to see his vulnerable side. Good spice, although I REALLY wanted to see that scene play out of her taking charge🥵.

Morally gray hero meets innocent heroine and falls in love. I really enjoyed it. There were some surprises along the way, and I loved the ferocity of his feelings for her. Even a "bad guy" can have an HEA.

ARC review, this is the first time reading a book from this author. I loved this story. I love Sasha and Gideon’s relationship
Sasha is feisty twenty something year old and knows what she wants. That’s until she meets Gideon a mafia drug lord who promised her brother to protect her. Gideon sets out to find her and to make good on his promise. He will do anything for her.
The story is emotional roller coaster. I love the ending. I want more of Sasha and Gideons story.

I’ve read most of the books that Ava has published and this one just didn’t hit the mark for me.
There was a LOT of repetitive inner rambling that dragged the story out and I don’t think Ava got her FMC to be the spitfire the MMC claimed. Sasha was either horny and losing track of all her thoughts (mainly because Gideon breathed near her) or she was throwing childish retorts/sticking out her tongue at him…
i.e.:
Lol! Girl, what? The guy kidn@pped your a$$ and all it takes to impress you is him putting together a sandwich?! Also, he claims to have kidn@pped you to keep you you safe, feeding you is the LEAST he could do if he wants to keep you alive. I mean, get a grip!

The plot twist involving her brother’s death and her link to the Russians was very predictable (especially if you consider the FMC and her brother had Russian names), and the ending to this whole series - that is not really a series - seems to be the same every book: the FMC makes a stupid decision because of some sort of misunderstanding, gets caught and the men from the “group chat from Hell” get together to save the day, the end.
The last thing that threw me off was the contradiction of the FMC being ok with MMC being a drug lord and enjoying living in the luxury that his “career” paid for, but calling the money that her brother sacrificed his life over to give her “blood-money”, and then deciding to donate it all. Like, that’s nice of you, but also, hypocritical much?
Anyway, it was a quick read (even though I thought about DNFing every time I started a chapter from Sasha’s POV), and the audio narrator for the MMC was awesome, so my two stars are mainly because of him.
P.s. even though this is a standalone I would recommend reading the author’s backlist to understand Gideon’s relationship with the guys from the aforementioned “group chat” and how he came to be in the position he’s in as NYC’s drug lord. She even has a list of the reading order on her page.

Gideon wasn’t realistic. Supposed to be this bad a but really wasn’t in this book. He was kind and did sweet things for her and for other people.
Just wasn’t a good book or story. And there was an editing mistake which is annoying.

I'm a huge fan of Ava and the stories she shares, but this one just wasn't my favorite. It's a good story, but I feel like it's a little long. The first 20% and the last 20% are really where the story is. The middle is just the day to day life of Gideon and Sasha.
It's told in dual POV, is light on spice, a fairly familiar mafia/organized crime plot. The story felt predictable. I really enjoy that Ava has the ability to write such varying stories, yet still weaves them together (we get references from some of her other characters in this book). Although this isn't my top read from Ava, it's still a good read.
