Memorable Quotes: “How about it, Asia? Would you accompany me to my aunt’s sixty-fifth birthday bash?” “I—uh...” Asia blanked. “The only answer I want to hear is yes,” he said softly. “Yes,” Asia answered without thinking, because she wanted to go with him. Wanted to understand the heat she felt around this enigmatic man she’d just met but somehow was agreeing to go on a date with. He smiled and it lit up his handsome features, weakening her knees. “Good. If it’s all right with you, I’ll pick you up here around six thirty. Can I get your number in case anything comes up?” He handed Asia his phone and she typed in her digits on autopilot. “Thanks.” He accepted the phone back. “I look forward to seeing you later.” Then picked up his gift and left the store. She turned toward Yvette. “What the hell just happened?” “Looks like you got yourself a hot date,” her boss cheekily replied. Did Blake pick up women in jewelry stores on a regular basis? Or was she special? Either way, Asia knew tonight would be a night to remember.
My rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👩🏾🤝👩🏿👭🏿👩🏿🤝👩🏾💕💎🤰🏾💍🏗
My thoughts: 📓 I was hoping/expecting a pregnancy from one of these reluctant-to-commit couples so when the bomb was dropped at the end of the last book I was surprised and a bit disappointed but not surprised as I've read this trope before, so I'm prepared for missing the chemistry, it was probably a one night stand based on the title. It just better not become a secret baby trope, I hate those, and I don't care about the reasoning.
🔖Page 136 of 211 [Chapter] Fifteen - I'm not sure what's worse, hooking up at an elder's birthday party in their guestroom or the sexagenarian catching you doing the walk of shame in their house. My mama would never let this slide, and neither would I. Anyway, I was surprised by Asia's actions given her background, but it was only for a few chapters, and now one of my favorite tropes is slightly involved, and I can't wait to finish this gem. The reveal didn't line up with the end of the last book.
I love babies and marriage, so this story was great. I enjoyed it even more than the first book. The drama was minimal, but I did want to knock some sense into Blake and Asia, but I enjoyed the journey. The next book is going back to San Antonio, and I'm thrilled. I love these stories. The sex scenes are still cookie-cutter, but there were some new floorplans. I didn't read the excerpt of The Marriage Deadline, but the title caught my eye so I skimmed it and it's going on the TBR.
Recommend to others: Yes! These are awesome. This series has chocolate, caramel, and butterscotch descriptions, so if you don't like food for complexions, that's the only downside; it doesn't bother me.

Another GEM found her Happily Ever After. Blake was the man with the plan for life but sadly bkind to his need for healing from love. Asia knew her heart but couldn't trust anyone with it again. Each had what the other needed and their baby created the perfect piece so they esch could have peace, love, and happiness. This was a good read 📚 👍🏾 ❣️
Asia Reynolds is a jewelry designer currently working retail for a store owner who has also become a friend. Like the other “Six Gems” friends, Asia received an inheritance from Wynter’s aunt Helaine. However, she hasn’t been able to get the jump start she needs to start her own business. I thought it was interesting that she came up with the name of the friend group when she commented that they were like gemstones. Blake Coleman is a successful businessman in construction, and a playboy who’s not ready to settle down. He experienced a tragic loss early in his life that has impacted how close he gets to people.
Asia and Blake met when he was shopping for a gift for his aunt’s birthday. He caught Asia’s eye right away and she thought he was the best-looking man she had seen in a while. He was tall, sexy and handsome. He loved her unique pieces and what he saw as well in the petite beauty. So much so, that he invited her to his aunt’s party. When Asia and Blake shared a kiss there was an instant attraction. She was cautious with men; however, they made a connection in a short period of time that led to a night with no strings attached. Little did he know, he and Asia would be tied together for a long time.
Ms. St. John has featured a couple with passion for each and in business, with strong chemistry in the bedroom. There are also several scenes where readers get an update on the other “gems”. There was a bumpy road to happily every after, however this was an enjoyable read. See full review at romanceincolor.com.
When Blake Coleman steps into Yvette's Jewels he can't help but to notice jewelry designer Asia Reynolds and she can't help not to notice him as well. Sparks fly and after she sales him one of her designs for his aunt's birthday soiree. The handsome gentleman wastes no time asking Asia out from the start my kind of guy. Once Asia accompanies Blake to his Aunt Sadie's party the two realize they can't hide their hots for one another, so they decide to give into their desire right there under his aunt roof and have a one-night stand! Once Asia wakes up the next morning Blake is gone, he pulls a hit it and leave with a car waiting for Asia to take her home. Consequences occur afterwards and these two have to decide what they really want. Blake worked my nerves but got it together. Great story can't wait for the next Gems story!
This is the 3rd book in the series but I haven’t read the first 2, the h met the H at her jewelry store and was instantly attracted. They had real chemistry after one date, he left her because she made him feel emotions. After his parents had been killed in a car accident, he had shut down emotionally. The h had her own trust issues. An unexpected pregnancy and good friends made a good plot. The couple found their way back to each other and got their HEA. Good epilogue.
This was a story about Asia Reynolds and Blake Coleman. They met when he needed a birthday gift for his aunt Sadie. She was a new jewelry designer and he fell in love with a necklace that was unique and one of a kind. They went to dinner then to his aunt's birthday celebration then a one night stand. They instantly fell in love without knowing they were in love. They later realized she was pregnant, then realized they belonged together to share their life and love.
When love happens there’s not a whole lot you can do to avoid it. And no you don’t get to decide whether or not you love someone especially when it’s what you’re running from in the first place. I loved this story very well written especially all the feelings being discovered and shared. I like the way you wove all the characters within the different stories I can’t wait until the next installment!
Great read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Asia and Blake had a one night stand with consequences. They both had some baggage from their past. This is their journey to love.
Liked the sequence in this love affair. One night sex can turn into things one does not expect. A was lucky she got Blake to be the one to catch her. By history most men would run like the heck.
This gem has a sensational story line. Asia was caught up in a one night stand and of course it was amazing and she wanted more. The gens are still getting along and doing amazing things. Easy reading about Asia and Blake.
I wanted to like this but I hate stories that involve manipulation love/ if you don’t love me then leave me alone during pregnancy but the minute the man first this then you hurt. Something always immediately happens then instalove
The Story Was Ok; However, I Couldn’t Get Past My Dislike For The H. I Found His Character Really Egotistical And Over Bearing. And The Storyline Has To Many Holes. Being Nice Giving It 3 Stars.
