I really enjoyed this one. The writing style was straightforward and easy to digest, almost like a palate cleanser. I appreciated how it centered on women's rights, making the romance feel more authentic.
While there was plenty of spice, it wasn’t the heaviness I expected from a dark romance; instead, it leaned more towards the lighter side.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and think it’s a great choice for anyone looking to explore dark romance without jumping into the more intense themes right away.
This book was a very nice read. The story line was very captivating with the writer's focus on a forward thinking woman in a world where women were seen as chattel to illustrate women's suffrage with notes of the chemistry and tension found in dark romance. The writing though a little tamed was perfect in conveying the virginal point of view of th FMC. Watching the evolution of the MMC'S & FMC'S relationship from owner to lover to love of each other's lives was heart warming. This book was the perfect palette cleanser for me and has helped come out of my reading slump as I couldn't put it down.
