Rate this book
This short book begins with the author growing up in Hidalgo, IL (Pop. 100.) It contains an account of his runaway Shetland pony whose fondest wish(apparently) was to return to Mustang Country. This is followed by the scandalous tale of how he (the author, not the pony) managed to not even make Tenderfoot as a Boy Scout (three years of Cub Scouting down the drain).

High school days also get heavy coverage. The “Wonder Years” they weren’t . Later life also proved to be tough sledding for the author who found it difficult to masquerade as an adult.

An excerpt from one of pieces from this later period (Early Beatle) is probably a good summary and closer for this so-called product information. It is in the third person, but pay no attention to that.

“Mr. Dunne was not a good traveler. He went places without knowing where he was going. When he somehow arrived at a destination, he didn't know how he had got there. When he returned home, he didn't know how he had got back, or where he had been in the first place.”
