Oh my goodness this series just gets better and better. The family secret has been uncovered and leads to a new puzzle to solve. Sophie had a major upheaval and I am anxious to find out what really happened.
Story picks up when Claire is informed she needs to return to work after dealing with the lose of her husband. Problem is she not ready and not sure she even wants this job. She dislikes the man who basically took a job that should've been her. Then demands her return 3 months early then was agree to. She needs time and Bella Beach is what she needs with her friends.
Great, sweet chick lit story - I'm definitely enjoying this Bella Beach series!
This is a great, simple book series about four 50 ish year old longtime friends and each of their mid life crisis. Beach stories, bakery, bookstore, it doesn't get much better than this for a nice winter break from more serious books!
These gals who have been friends for over 30 years... happy to see them all finding new life down at Bella Beach with just enough mystery to keep me intrigued... and I'm looking forward to seeing how Sophie's story turns out.
I love each character, their steps through life's journey. Loss, heartache and love, adventure well defined. Life can and does begin in one's 50's. I can't wait to read all seven books.
We head back to Bella Beach for Claire's story. She has been still living in Portland grieving the loss of her husband. Her leave from her librarian job has been revoked early and she decides she doesn't want to go back to work. She needs her friends and heads back to Bella Beach to see them. An uncharacteristic impulsive decision changes her life. This continues to be an enjoyable and addictive series.
The widow of this amazing group of women friends comes back to living. Depression takes a long time to recover from, but when it is brought on by the death of your spouse it’s even harder. Now is the time to shine and start over and best of all on Bella Beach.
I read the six books in this series in less than 2 days! They are wonderful! And now I have to wait over 5 months until the next one comes out!!! I was really engaged in the stories, the characters, and their lives.
