Bursting with interesting and beneficial information, this book guides the reader through the many uses of herbs in healing mind, body, and spirit. Herbalist Elisabeth Brooke explains where, when, and how to collect herbs; how to dry, store, and prepare them; and how to use them for physical, emotional, and ritual purposes. She also traces their mythological history, astrological significance, and main chemical components and offers recipes for food, drinks, and medicines.
Title in German: Von Salbei, Klee und Löwenzahn. Praktisches Kräuterwissen für Frauen.
This wonderful herbal book describes 38 herbs for holistic treatment of body, mind and soul. We learn where, when and how to gather them, their astrological classification, how to dry, keep and use them, how to prepare remedies, healing teas, tinctures and ointments and their use in ritual, mediation and magic. This book is a real treasure chest for every witch and everybody interested in herbs. One of my favorite herb books – everytime I´m looking up a herb I discover something new I thought I haven´t read before… or maybe I just couldn´t remember it anymore…

This is amazing. It quotes directly from the Trotula; talks about "Diana, the goddess of the Amazons", the chakras, crystal balls; it includes incantations and "magical and ritual uses" for all the herbs; it is based on the humoral medicine and astrology. All this in addition to all the practical uses of the herbs! OH and the author is an English "Aries Witch" who lives currently in the Caribbean. Seriously, what else could you hope for?
