Frappée d'une étrange maladie qui la plonge dans des états profonds d'inconscience, elle vit dans un monde sans arbre et sans ciel bleu. Sa chute dans le conduit d'une cheminée est pour elle le début d'un parcours initiatique, aux limites du rêve. Accompagnée d'une créature étrange venue des entrailles de la terre, Addidas va progressivement découvrir la réalité de l'univers qui l'entoure.

Series Synopsis: Koma is a charming comic series about a widower chimney sweep and his daughter, oddly named Addidas (but not like the shoe!). There is some mystery and fantasy at play as (1) Addidas blacks out and has visions of a fantastical creature and (2) something about Addidas’ mother’s death that seems off. All of this is told in a colorful, whimsical art style.

Volume 6: So this is the conclusion of the series. Things get weird. There are three threads here: the good monster gets free and tries to find Addidas, the father is stuck in the eternal hotel with his deceased wife, and Koma has a duel with the creator-thing.

There’s a satisfying conclusion with a tinge of mystery in the final panel. Well done.
