Inferno,
'Love, Honor or Stray,' book three in the New Day Divas series, starts and Sister Deborah is back from a much needed sabbatical after coming to grips with her parts of her painful past. Just as her heart is starting to open to the possibility of giving Lynox, an aspiring author, a chance, her ex-fiancé Elton is back in town. Is this fate?
Paige is still in the newlywed phase of her marriage. While most couples can't keep their hands off of one another during this time, it almost seems as if Blake married his job and Paige is the mistress. Most women would be pleased by a husband who wants to be able to provide for his family. Happy, Paige also wanted her husband to want to meet her every need. Will temptation get the best of her?
Tamarra is trying to do all she can to maintain her sanity. First, she's having to accept that Maeyl, the guy she's dating, is a father. Something she never wanted after learning her ex Edward had a secret family. But when Raygene, her niece, shows up out the blue, she can't handle having her in her city, let alone in her life. Though she tries to pretend like she can handle all that's coming her way, jealousy, hate and fear have immobilized her.
Drama from start to finish, 'Love, Honor or Stray' is more intense than the other two books thus far. I love Sister Doreen and the way she uses bible verses to put people in their place. I'm loving that the series deals with Christians, Christianity, sins, backsliding, love, lust, diabetes, uncertainty, secrets, lies and jealousy. It's real life drama that makes it easy to turn the pages.
Now on the real, the editing is better, but there are still issues with misspellings. I was most bothered by the fact that we met Deborah as Deborah Lewis and her name was changed to Lucas. Even with that, I cannot wait to read book four. I'm looking forward to how things will fair with the rest of the New Day Divas.
