Is it possible for a woman to know nothing about football, and still score the biggest touchdown of her life?
Desperate to save her fourteen-year-old brother from addiction, Jodie Dickerson moves back to Memphis, Tennessee—just a stone's throw away from her hometown of Clifton and her dysfunctional family. If she can rebuild a relationship with her younger brother, Keenan, maybe she can save him from a fate similar to her older brother's.
When Jodie's résumé comes across the desk of William Duncan, ex-jock turned sports show host, he reluctantly hires her as the show's producer. For years he's been unsuccessful in making amends to the Dickersons, who blame him for the car accident that killed their eldest son years ago. Now that Jodie and Will are working together, can they put the past behind them? But more important, can Jodie find forgiveness and love for Will, the man who used to arouse her teenage fantasies?
