Born in Portland, Oregon, he lives in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he teaches in the MFA Program at McNeese State University.

to have heard this man read is a wonder. that i could listen to him at those moments when my mind needs stilled and focused.
his words are sparse and delicately chosen.
his view point essential and one i wish i could take more often.
this collection will sit open on my bedside table for months.
