We got a themed box of books from the library about Farms and this was one of the books. Not much substance here, but still something that preschoolers can enjoy. The pictures are cute and colorful and the young ones enjoy the different sounds the animals make, especially when sick, but hard for a beginner reader because it's mostly sounds and not words. So no real learning value, but still some fun to look at.

Sings like Old Macdonald and is fun. A little repetitive for me, and you need a good amount of air to keep going. Otherwise good!

This book was okay, but a little annoying. I don’t totally love the art style.

This was a fun book to read out loud because it was fun to make all the animal noises and really get into the theme of the book. This book would be a big hit with younger children because they would get to not only listen to the book but learn from it as well. It is also an easy read book so the children starting to learn to read would be able to use this book as help. The illustrations in this book are also very well done with the colorful animals and the colorful skies. This draws in children's minds and makes them want to understand what is going on in the book. For even younger students, it helps them match the animals with their sounds and helps them understand who says what and how do they say it without even realizing they are learning new things.

Animals are singing their barnyard song when a bee starts sneezing. Soon none of the animals are singing. It's the barnyard flu! The farmer feeds them soup and gets the animals back on their feet. Until one dawn "COCK-A-SQUAWK-LE-DOO. Fun animals sounds, but a little long for the young ones. 1/31/12

A little long for this group. I thought the animal sounds would hold them, but too many distractions. 1/14

Went over better at a December Lap Time with mother and care-giver participation and was a huge hit at PJ Story Time. 12/22/14

Went over really well as the first book in Lap Time. All the babies grinned at the barnyard sounds.
