Marriage? No, thanks. She’d rather kiss a dragon. An Enchanted story. All Prince Cahill needs to assume the throne is one simple a wife. Except every virgin princess in the kingdom has turned up deflowered before the deal can be sealed. The very next maiden to cross this threshold, he vows, will be his bride. When she appears—injured, half-frozen and reeking of dragon dung—he holds to his promise and puts her to the final test to prove her worthiness. A test that involves a mattress and a pea. Breanna couldn’t be less interested in marriage, especially to a cocksure royal like Cahill. Since losing her family to a dragon horde, she has become the continent’s finest slayer—a job she doesn’t plan on giving up until the last dragon’s blood drips from her sword. Yet her sleepless nights are plagued with visions of Cahill doing wicked things to her untutored body. And when she fights at his side to repel a dragon attack, her visions become delicious reality. But Queen Eleanor, whose reign is about to end, has no intention of giving up her power. Not to Prince Cahill, and certainly not to some young upstart… This book contains corruption, seduction, conspiracy and magically-induced erotic dreams. And that’s just the first chapter.

I'm a sucker for Buffy so the title alone on this one caught my eye, and I started without having read the blurb. Which would have told me I was in a different ballpark...
A not bad but merely OK sort-of fairytale involving a dragon slaying princess, the prince who wants to marry her, and his stepmother who wants to hold on to the kingdom using a plot involving some mattresses and a pea to 'test' her purity. All of that's pretty much background, mind, as it turned out to be about some sex. Which itself was not bad but merely OK.
Quite adult, erotica indeed as tagged. HEA I liked the characters enough. Only downside would be the 2 dimensional villains. At least the main characters weren’t 2d. But cahill is ok.
Also I FORGOT THE NAME OF THIS BOOK. I bought it along time ago on kindle store, and deleted it. I could not find it for the life of me! Chat gpt, reddit, i had no luck! But then i remembered on kindle you can find a history of notes and highlights -even books which are deleted and no longer in your kindle library!! Hence , i find it haha.
Not what I thought or wanted this to be. I thought it was a fairy tale retelling. Not really. And other than the fact it was way too raunchy for me, I'm super tired of the book relationships that are entirely based on a physical attraction, where the couple literally can't stand each other but have to be together. And I really can't stand it when there is any sort of force used. Pushing someone against a wall for any other reason than a kiss is abuse.
Quite a fun, quick tale about a female dragon slayer and a prince. Usual tale of they hate eachother, then slowly fall irresistably in lust with eachother. Enjoyable to read - especially chapter 8 (not for on the bus or at work) - but lacked some filling. I felt that the end was especially rushed, which if it hadn't of been this book might have got a three.
