She founded a famous and one of the first essential oil companies in Germany and left it when her sense of quyality no more was satisfied as the company grew larger and larger. The book takes you to a journey of wonderful scents through history and through the whole world.

It describes their history from the Paleolithic age through ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Crete, Greece, Arabia, Israel, America, India, Himalaya and Japan. It shows you how to burn the incenses also possible uses in meditation and ceremonies, suggests recipes for every opportunity. The pictures in this book are colored (!) and at the end of the book there is an extensive bibliography. My life would be less pleasant without all my incenses, joss sticks and essential oils. Die Bilder sind farbig und am Ende des Buches ist eine ausführliche Bibliographie. Mein Leben würde weit weniger angenehm sein ohne mein Räucherwerk, Räucherstäbchen und ätherischen Ölen.
