Steven LaChance is the bestselling author of true paranormal nonfiction and literary horror. His work explores the places where history, psychology, faith, and the unexplained intersect, always asking the same question: What happens when ordinary people encounter the extraordinary?

He is the author of The Uninvited, Confrontation with Evil, and the Modern Monsters trilogy: Glow, Gorilla, and Grace. While his nonfiction established him as a respected voice in the paranormal field, his fiction introduced a new audience to his brand of literary horror, blending psychological suspense with deeply human characters.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, LaChance now lives in Querétaro, Mexico, with his husband, Rick Brandt. He is currently at work on Demonic, an in-depth exploration of humanity’s evolving understanding of evil, as well as several other writing projects.

Whether writing nonfiction or fiction, Steven LaChance believes the most frightening monsters are often the ones we create ourselves.

I have worked with this author in the past and he is an amazing person as well as an amazing writer. This book is worth the read. Is all about a few small towns in Missouri which I am familiar with and the stories he tells seem to hold true to what I have been told growing up as well. I cant wait for his new book to come out.

Good read!

I get bored easily in the first few pages if they do not pique my interest. This is an easy and interesting read. I finished in a few nights. Now I have to try to hurry and go to sleep but I’m creeped out. Good luck!
