I screamed when I read this book!!! Jenika writes some delicious dirty talking men that I love 💕.
This one is pretty delicious we have poor innocent Persephone who was doing okay until her parents died so now she’s all alone a orphan she’s now talking to her “uncle” Hades who she only met a few times he’s always cold, grumpy and doesn’t like her or maybe doesn’t like her parents. Now she’s under his care it doesn’t matter that she’s 18 nope he’s going to take care of all her things until she turns 21.
And they start off rocky it’s a very cold/hate vibes Persephone does have a sassy mouth she doesn’t wanna be afraid of this man but he does make her feel something. As for Hades he had a bad up being thanks to his Forster father and “brother” who have done horrible things to him and this is his revenge payback make His “niece” hurt.
When Hades teaches her his first lesson… LORDDDD I SQUELED!! spank meeee daddy hehe. Even if it turned her on she did freak out Hades when she got tuned on lol. The plan sorta backfired on him. Emotions start to change when they spend more time together.
We do have outside drama trying to hurt his girl and he won’t let that happen..only he gets to.. he also does try to push her away it works for a-bit. Nothing super long.

Nothing I haven't read before honestly. I started reading it because it was supposed to be a retelling about Hades and Persephone and I thought maybe the story would be interesting but no, the plot was boring and I only stayed for smut which wasn't even that good. Persephone was bland and had no personality. Hades was like every alpha male character from Wattpad.

Daddy kink done right. I bow to you Jenika. Persephone was living a privileged life until her parents died and left her an orphan. Her “uncle” Hades is now in charge of her until she’s 21 and her inheritance is released. She has always found Hades devastatingly attractive but also cold and ruthless and their relationship starts out with some delicious and lustful hate vibes.
Hades is determined to use Persephone as a means to an end. The abuse he went through made him seek revenge but the more time he spends with the smart mouthed Persephone, the more he realizes he wants to be more to her than the man that rules her life. He wants her heart too.
With plenty of steamy and kinky moments and exterior forces after Persephone and Hades, will the two of them be able to create a happily ever after that works for them?
I loved this short but sweet daddy kink light story. Both Persephone and Hades were likable characters and the heat in here was HOT. I thought Persephone’s age would bother me but she’s a very mature woman that knows what she likes and wants. Hades was possessive and dominant and their chemistry was perfect. Overall, I really enjoyed this!

This book starts off with a bang. Literally. HOT. Persephone (18) just lost her parents. Her adopted Uncle, Hades, comes to her rescue (even though he hated her father). He's intense, scary, possessive, and controlling but DAMN I fell in love with him! He's so dark and depraved in this retelling.
I stared down at my knuckles. My dark thoughts went to how my little Persephone would look with that virgin blood smeared across her inner thighs after I popped her cherry.
There's bad blood between her father and Hades. He's out for revenge against her father by using her. The history is hinted at as you read but I won't spoil it!
I hated my brother and had celebrated his death. And a part of me wanted to hate her too, for the simple fact she was a part of Zachariah. It didn't matter that she was innocent. It didn't matter if she didn't know who her father really was or the atrocious things he'd done.
Because she would pay for her father's sins.
With her body.
While Hades is dark and pretty much a psycho in this book, Persephone is the definition of innocence. Pure innocence waiting to be corrupted! ;)

HOLY MOLY- how deliciously naughty! The Good Side of Wrong is addictively forbidden, consuming yummy, and hella sexy. I could not put this down- the spice, the tension, the deviance! Absolutely the best kind of wrong! This is everything I love about Jenika Snow- heartfelt romance paired with entrancing smutty spice. My favorite kind of life diversion- I ravenously consumed this story.
The tropes alone had me hooked- forbidden and taboo, age gap, a modernized Hades and Persephone reimagining, a dark controlling alpha hero with an innocent, vulnerable but strong heroine, the guardian-ward attraction.- yummy indeed. In this modern day, Hades is the adopted son of a millionaire with a ton of dark secrets, a heavy chip on his shoulder, and a dark and painful past that has him thirsty for revenge on his family- including his adopted brother. Alas fate takes the opportunity for vengeance out of his grasp, so instead Hades ascends from his dark and illusive isolation to reap the rewards of his familiar connections (with a dash of blackmail) in order to claim his adopted brother’s daughter as his ward so he can enact his revenge on the spawn of his enemy. Yes, he grew up in this family and Persephone grew up knowing him as her uncle- he’s estranged and seen her only but a few times and there is not blood relation, but to some this might cross the line of illicit taboo into cringe- so take warning if that kind of taboo isn’t your style.
Jenika dives STRAIGHT into the tension and heat in this one- the chemistry is a perfect infusion of trauma-inspired hatred and anger paired with protective longing and desire. And it’s so delicious. Fixation soon grows into obsession of a different nature- and Daddy Hades’ desire to destroy pivots into a thirst for control, ownership, lust, and ultimately quite a sweet and tender love. Oh, we’ve got lots of spice- praise and degradation, some daddy kink (not TOO heavy, at times even ironic), and so much heat. We also have a tragic backstory and two very broken characters who find liberation from their past pain in their unexpected connecting with each other- and that I just adored. Hades is dark, devious, controlling, power-hungry and dominating- SCORCHING HOT. Morally grey and unapologetically conniving, but the sweet Persphephone somehow captures the lingering beats of his dying heart and brings light to his soul. She’s his foil in every way- kind, sweet, open and loving. Optimistic and forgiving, gentle. The perfect prey- and the perfect balm to heal him.
As far as retellings, this one definitely is more loosely inspired, but we definitely have the tension that I love about the classic inspiration, a heroine who dives into hell for the man she loves, and a man willing to compromise and change so his darkness doesn’t destroy his treasure. Jenika brings that same thematic lens- how love can find it’s way even to the most unexpected of places, and how free will, not the prisons of our own and fate’s making, define us and the potential of our heart.
I only wish it was even longer- I just gobbled this right up. This book is as hot as the fires of Hades’ hell- and I melted happily with every passing page.

Hades and Persephone is my favorite love story of all time, one of my favorite retellings, and my go to for a book hangover cure. This, I believe, is one of JS’s earlier books, and it seems like it came before she polished her writing chops some. Well(ish) done, vaguely cringey, with good spice and a side of OTT/P by Hades mixed with some childhood trauma and fake vengeance. Not my favorite, but enjoyable nonetheless!

I mean...when they get married Persephone dosn't even have to change her name😂.
Persephone Cronus (18) and Hades Cronus (38) were such a sweet and most definitely sexy couple. I absolutely loved Hades transition from wanting to ruin her, (as payback to her father) to falling in love with her and becoming completely obsessed. I also greatly appreciated the jealousy scenes and how possessive Hades was with her👌🏻, this man takes obsessed to new levels. And although this book wasn't very long, their first kiss was almost halfway through, which I suprisingly didn't really mind as the spicy buildup and the steamy tension between them was *that* good itself. Jenika Snow knows how to deliver on the smut👏
This man literally fucked her in 10 different positions, gave her a kiss and sent her off to school. Why is that so disturbingly hot?!?!
And his dirty mouth...it does things to me🥵.

I’ll just come out and say it…. You’re good to go ahead and skip this one. 🤷♀️
I finished this story, but it’s about the only positive thing I have to say about it. I was not a fan of the writing style. Oftentimes it felt very disjointed, with the author so frequently repeating themselves to the point of it almost feeling like incoherent rambling. There was absolutely no character development. The intense feelings between the MC’s didn’t make sense because as far as I could tell, there was nothing either one had done to inspire those feelings. The plot was practically nonexistent. There was some heat there, but it felt like the same scene playing over and over again. So after the initial encounter, it did nothing to improve the overall book.
Also, I would have loved to have seen some reactions from people over a relationship between the FMC and her adoptive uncle, the MMC. Definitely a missed opportunity by the author.
Bottom line:
There’s not enough heat and spice to consider this an erotica, and there’s not enough of a developed story and characters to consider this a spicy romance. You’re better off looking for something else, in my humble opinion. 👍
I finished this story, but it’s about the only positive thing I have to say about it. I was not a fan of the writing style. Oftentimes it felt very disjointed, with the author so frequently repeating themselves to the point of it almost feeling like incoherent rambling. There was absolutely no character development. The intense feelings between the MC’s didn’t make sense because as far as I could tell, there was nothing either one had done to inspire those feelings. The plot was practically nonexistent. There was some heat there, but it felt like the same scene playing over and over again. So after the initial encounter, it did nothing to improve the overall book.
Also, I would have loved to have seen some reactions from people over a relationship between the FMC and her adoptive uncle, the MMC. The Good Side of Wrong was a really enjoyable book for me. Like so many other books lately it wasn't necessarily anything I haven't read before, but I totally enjoyed it and loved the chemistry between Hades and Persephone.

For a smutty book there was not enough smut and it all started after 40% mark.
For a plot-driven book there was almost no plot.
For a character-driven book there was no development and the main characters just jumped over all conflict into a relationship.
All in all it was an average book you fly through in a couple of hours and forget about it the minute it's finished.

Like…the first words that come to mind when describing the intensity of this book is BLAZING INFERNO HOT! She wasted no time in giving us a taste of what we were in for.
Necessities for reading this include: extra panties, maybe a towel, fully charged rose or partner nearby.
SHE HIT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE TROPES!
Hades is fucking dark perfection and Persephone was the embodiment of sweet and innocent. It was an enemies to lovers revenge plot romance, and I ate every second of it up!
Hades loves a dark past that molded him into the demon he is and Persephone is his adopted brother’s daughter. The two brothers hated each other and after he passes away, Hades takes Persephone into his care with the intention of revenge and corruption of a sweet soul. But did she corrupt his instead?
Gaahhh THE TENSION 🤌🏼 It was delicious. Jaw dropping. He’s extremely possessive and has a filthy mouth. Hades would quite literally burn it all down for Persephone. He oozes power..so needless to say, nobody gets in his way.
I don’t want to say too much about the plot because it would spoil some things. Just know it’s amazing. You must read this book. MUST!

She made Hades work for it! 😂The smut is of course top tier! Jenika Snow never ceases to amaze me. Here for the smut but stay for the plot. I loved the story and how it ended. It was perfect!
I would suggest this book for ones that love a good age gap, taboo, forbidden love trope!

While I do love anything inspired by greek myths especially Hades and Persephone's, this book probably doesn't make the cut. This may be because they interacted first when she was a minor and that detail stayed with me until the end. Putting that aside, however, everything feels fast paced and it may also be the reason why I see no chemistry or connection between them. I feel like there is no plot at all. Smut is not even good. Might not recommend.
