With the help of her parents, the young widow takes her baby and follows her cousin to Alaska, where hopefully the crime family won't find her. Or will they?
I took Journalism and Creative Writing in high school and college. Have sold short stories and articles to magazines, until I sold my first novel the The Wild Rose Press in 2008. Since then I have my first three published books, Silver Screen Heroes, Golden North, and Bronze Skies in the Dangerous Times series. A spin-off of Golden North, Prime Catch was my next one. Iris Rainbow was released this past July. I have a western that's coming out in a few months called That Monroe Girl. I live in Wisconsin now with my husband, Mark.
This is a well-researched and touching romantic suspense set in the Alaska territory in the 1920s. The author brings in fascinating glimpses into theatre history, and it was obvious she did a ton of research, but it never overtakes the story. The story is about two people who meet through a family connection and fall in love despite the danger facing them as mobsters close in. The murder mystery was especially mysterious and made for a good who-done-it. The touching romance will warm your heart.
