Kathy’s Review:
After reading Joyee Flynn’s first Marius brother’s story—Micah—I knew that I wanted to keep up with the series. Vampire warriors? Falling in love with other men? What’s not to love? In my world, nothing.
One of the things I’m enjoying most about the series is the connection between the members of the Marius family. After Micah’s story I was impressed, but now having read Remus and Noah’s story I’m completely enamoured of the whole clan, in-laws and out-laws.
I especially love how they are so quick to take to heart, and into the family, the ones that their sons love and, in turn, any family that their son’s mate may have. This is what family is all about.
Of course it doesn’t hurt that these big strong warriors, when it comes to their mate, are little more than putty in their lover’s hands… nice to see the big, tough guys fall so deeply into love that they’re more than happy to open themselves up completely. Definitely romantic…and—hooboy—sexy as all get out to boot. Yummy.
There were a couple of small instances where I felt that the action had been rushed a bit; I don’t want to go into details so as not to add any spoilers, but something would happen that just seemed to come out of nowhere. Maybe it was meant to be that way—it could very well have been—but I found it a little…too convenient and too…premature? I’m not sure…but it’s not a big thing. In any event, the characters rescued the story. I also enjoyed the continued presence of Micah and his mate Riley. I love the continuation of characters and I can hardly wait to see how Ms. Flynn brings back Remus and Noah in the next book. Which, I just discovered, is already out!
If you love vampire stories, or hot men finding their mate and the ensuing steamy sex or if you’re just a fan of Joyee Flynn then I strongly suggest you find yourself a couple of Marius brothers’ stories with which to while away a few hours: Micah and Remus will certainly provide you with plenty of enjoyment.
