I felt that Barry Long did justice for the topic of meditation in this audio recording. He does detail a practical meditation method and talk about some of the benefits and ideas around meditation in this experiential audio recording. As for the actual meditation, it involves some breath work (which I thought was a little over the top actually- especially in the breath retention and moving the breath around), and also some body scanning and body attention, similar to Buddhist style 'vipassana' or mindfulness methods. Overall, worth adding to your BL library and trying out to see if it works for you.
Hmm, this is a weird one to review. Barry has a odd narration style which I can't quite put my finger on. It almost added to my curiosity of what he was saying. I certainly stopped thinking about my worries while listening to the tape.
I love the part where he lists friends, family, lover and professors will disagree with the logic!
Time will see if its helps me switch off at the end of a hard day working.
