I have the fourth edition.

I have this one...the first and it's 1221 pages long and not 632. There is a table of contents which breaks the book into PERSONAL REPORT, On Language, On Education, On Mind, On Civilization, On Literature and the Arts, On Ethics, On Government, On History, On Science and finally On religion.
Next at 1197 A conpendious rhetoric and rhteorical index; List of Authors 1207 and finally Index 1217

Hang on. This was going to go to the great sale when something caught my eye, Allan Seagers the Joy of Sport at Oxford, and I foolishly began to read, now I see Mark Twain Stagecoaching to Virginia City, Huxley's Newspeak and on. Talley-ho!
