If your looking to increase your overall knowledge of plant anatomy this book provides a general overview with few specific details. However if you are more familiar with plant amatory this book becomes a reiteration of facts that you already know. The author provides many visual representations to convey their topic. The book starts with a general overview of a plant and then breaks down each part of the plant anatomy to give an in depth analysis of each plant cell, function and relation to each part of the plant. I will say that if you are an educator looking for a textbook or supplement material for plant anatomy this book is highly useful.

I *guess* this is a good introduction if you're not that familiar with plants. But even then, I've read better introductions that more thoroughly covered the subject. Here, information is just glossed over in a way that leads you to question the basic point of knowledge establishment. Best thing about this book is the CD for Virtual Plant, which is quite informative. However, there is also free online access to that as well, so it's not quite a steal.
