Troll Maglaya is on his third tour of duty on Jarved Nine. Just when he thinks nothing here can surprise him, he's assigned to watch a suspected spy. As soon as he sees Lia, he knows her claim of time travel is true--he's carried a drawing of her for years, one made fifty years earlier.

When I originally read this story, as part of one of the Mammoth Books, it was my first introduction to Patti O'Shea. I was so pleased when she released it on its own and immediately bought it. Its a short story that is part of her Jarved 9 series.

Unusual setting, interesting plot and believable characters. I wish it could have been a full length novel.
