About the author

Melanie, an award-winning author of more than fifty novels, stories and poems lives with her writer husband in the California Gold Country with their cat (also a writer who has a page on myspace) and their dog (who is hoping to get a page on facebook as soon as she masters typing). Melanie likes gardening but hates the deer who also like her garden, and she volunteers at a local animal shelter.

I enjoy this series and I enjoyed this book. However, "Murder On Parade" is just too short. I would have liked more detail. That said, I will continue with the series. Chloe Boston is a very likeable character and her dog Blue just rounds her out. Hopefully the next in the series will be a little "beefier." (Is that a word?) lol

Definitely better than book 2, but really short and not terribly suspenseful. I'm not certain if I'll continue the series.

Chief of police was riding with the grand Marshall Dillon when he had a heart attack, and a doctor was close by from the parade. The mayor was riding alone, with his having been on you-tube showing of what he really was like. Crazy account of the parade, and her cousin’s wedding, and figuring out if this was murder. Delightful, short Story of a day with Chloe.

Meter maid Chloe Boston has frequently been accused of being nosy.

But, in this "case" (pun intended), her nose is integral in solving one murder and keeping a second one from occurring.

A good story

This was a good Chloe Boston story. She's downright likeable as she solves a mysterious death which only she thinks was a murder.

In this book, Chloe is watching the Christmas parade when the Grand Marshall Herb Dillon, just falls over dead in the middle of the parade, with the chief sitting right next. Chloe must figure out who did it while her crazy cousin gets married and she spends her first Christmas with Alex. I really enjoyed this one and I think you will too.

Nice and cozy

Really like Chloe. She is scary the way she thinks out the murderer but she has a good heart. Clean with a little of romance and danger.

Excellent LITTLE episode in the series! Followed by the start of a new series. Satisfying mystery, nice suspense, good wrap up.
