This book was slightly better than the last installment only because the character did something other than try to decide between her two crushes a vampire or a werewolf. there was was more action in this book but the constant love scenes in the middle of a battle or battles got on my nerves and made the dramatic scenes seem not important at all. A good read if you don"t mind a story with a lot of build up and a cliff -hanger ending.

Today's review is on Silence by Kailin Gow
Silence is the fourth book in Gow's Wicked Woods series, and though it answers all of the questions readers were anxious for, I didn't find it as enjoyable as the three previous installments.
In Silence we are introduced to the magical world of Palisor where Briony finds that she is the last surviving blood heir of the royal line.
There are all of the necessary elements for excitement in the pages, but for me it felt flat. Perhaps I was looking for more growth from Briony, rather than reading about more battles with "evil" vampires. How many books does it take before she chooses between Fallon and Kevin? When will she realize that the events that have happened require her to grow up? Let me see some more maturity in the development of the character's as each book progresses. Even YA's need to know that life requires us to make tough decisions, so lets see the character's we write and read about make some too.
I'm not saying that the book wasn't a good book, but as many of my friends can attest, if a book stands out for me, I get it read in one day. Silence took just a little longer.

Really good, lots of action and we find out a little as in, just a little teeny bit more about Pallisor etc...
Not nearly enough for my tastes! The book was quite short, but a good action packed read, not boring in any way or in any chapter.
I just wish there had been....more...more of everything to it!
So even though the book was much much too short, and did not have nearly sufficient content for my likely after the 3rd book extended the storyline so very much further. It still gets 4 stars from me, because 1 star- I really really love this whole series, 2 stars- the new characters in this book are great and it was nice to see the old ones, 3 stars- the action was fantastic and 4 stars - something is FINALLY happening in Pallisor!

i liked it, i feel briony was going back and forth between kevin and fallon and yes, it is annoying but i think shes relized something ...maybe hopefully and is kindof leaning more towards kevin which is so much better than ending up with fallon

Can't believe how fast I read it. Addicited to Kailin Gow's books! This was very action packed and exciting. Loved meeting Briony's father and learning more about her history. Still no decision on the right choice as far as the "love triangle". Can't wait to see where the next book takes us!

I am done with these books. I kept waiting for the writing to get less awkward and for the story to get interesting but it just felt like more of the same.
