Compelling read! Enjoyed the insight into a Muslim woman’s life in Iran throughout war and peacetimes. Strong character and the writing reflected her emotional growth from a young teenager to middle aged woman. I think some complexity may have been lost in the translation, and the writing at times seems rigid. But I still thoroughly enjoyed the book, plot and her character.
