I really enjoyed this book. The story was great, everything flowed together smoothly and with it shifting to different character views it gave me an added feel of suspense like I was watching a movie and it kept me wanting to flip the pages to find out what would happen next. The Nightmara are demonic creatures that feed off your fears and move from one person to another through a kiss, but the one receiving the kiss must be in a weakened state. And once they have you, they become your worst nightmare.

Grayson was my favorite. The poor guy’s completely sleep deprived because he’s to scared to close his eyes due to the Nightmara that haunt him day and night, given to him by a woman (Bree, another character I really liked) in a desperate kiss to free herself from the evil creatures in her nightmares. Now they wait in the shadows for Grayson to fall asleep so they can attack and feed off his fear. With the Nightmara slowly killing him and having no idea where to find the woman who kissed him Grayson is desperate for help and answers. Grayson goes to see Zoe a sleep doctor, but she doesn’t believe what he’s experiencing is real.

Zoe the sleep doctor who suffers from lack of sleep herself irritated me a bit by her moments of unprofessionalism, When Grayson comes to her she feels bad for him but thinks what he’s experiencing is simply hallucinations, it’s not real. But soon enough she'll see how real the Nightmara really are…

Though not a scary read for me I did really enjoy it. I gotta say that I totally loved the ending. It’s exactly what I was hoping for plus the little twist had me smiling and wanting to scroll back to the beginning and start all over again!

Big thanks to Danielle for the chance to read and review Nightmara!

I have found that I have to be careful when ordering some of the 99 cent e-books. Some are just not worth my time or effort. Therefore, I have begun reading as many reviews of the books as I can before I order them. After reading several good reviews of "Nightmara" I decided to order this e-book.

"Nightmara" is a compilation of characters who lives are interwoven by a series of nightmarish creatures. The story was just an okay read for me and I had to question why since it contained many of the things I enjoy in a book. There is intrigue, mysterious creatures, myths, and pretty good writing. So what went wrong? First, I did not like the characters very much. No, I do not mean they were not described very well. I mean, I did not like them. They were somewhat devoid of a moral compass. Even the protagonist were not very nice.

Secondly, while I enjoyed the way the author migrated back and forth in telling the story from character to character, the first third of this book was really slow for me. I found it hard to want to continue reading it. Then when the action began to occur I found the storyline to be really convoluted and for a lack of a better term pure "B.S."

I realize that this book has received many good reviews. Therefore, I will write off my lack of enthusiasm for it as just a difference in reading preference. So, decide for yourself. I just cannot recommend it!

What made me purchase this book were the glowing reviews it received on the Kindle site. I was looking for a great thriller & was prepared to be scared out of my mind but, that never happened. HOWEVER, even in spite of its shortcomings of not being a true thriller, it was a great book. I simply could not put it down because I had to know what was going to happen next. I believe I finished this book in two days, which is something I have not done since my 20s.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read. No, it's not scary in the least, but it is intriguing.

ENJOY!

When I read the book description and some of the reviews I was excited and ready to be scarred to the point of not wanting to sleep....UMMM ok that didn't happen.

However it was a nice paranormal story, with some interesting characters I could have done w/o the bizare Dr's relationships and breakups. And more descriptive on the Nightmara episodes. With that being said I would still say it's a good read and I will read moe by Danielle Lee.

I love the ending :)

Enjoyed this story, the character jumping always keeps me intrigued! I sadly found it ended to sudden, just as I was learning how all the pieces fit, the story came to an end. I would have liked to have seen it elaborated more, or pieced in throughout the story.
Was a great story. Danielle knows to write a page turner!!
