I thought that this book was amazing because Matthew is just a normal kid who doesn't want to be teased anymore by his classmates. But when someone says " EARTH TO MATTHEW" he seems like he is an astronaut in space.

The story of Matthew and his classmates continue. This is a kid-friendly book that touches on difficult subjects such as divorce, wayward teenagers, teasing, bullying, and ecosystems. Each subject is written on a child's level of understanding and she doesn't give any more information than is needed. It's funny so both boys' and girls' will enjoy this book.

I recommend this book to everyone ages 11+.

This author is one of my absolute favorites. I love her characters, I love how they interact with one another. In this book, Matthew‘s older sister is going through a really rough time, and I have never seen another character like her in a Danziger book.

I also enjoyed seeing Jil! and Matthew’s young relationship- it rang so true to me as far as fumbling through how to behave and balance.

The theme of save the earth, and going to a science center was very cool as well!

Not quite as good as the other Matthew books, but still fun. His older sister didn't seem quite believable in this book - she was too outrageous too quickly, without a lot of explanation. She seemed a normal 13-yr-old in the other books, and now she's a rebel without a cause.

These were good stories for when our boys got older. Large doses of humor mixed with some realistic situations and likable characters.
