Limeriches Part Two: Joshua to Job: Great Bible Stories for Children in Limerick Form
ABOUT THIS
The Bible is full of God’s “Riches.” While visiting Ireland with my wife and son in 2010, we came to the little town of Limerick. I was thrilled to be at the home of a simple, yet powerful, poetic form. I decided to put some of the riches of God’s Word into this form—“Limeriches.”
Since I recently become a grandfather for the first time, I have been thinking more and more about children’s books. This book is for young people who love language—and who hope to learn to love our heavenly Father even better.This work on Limeriches Part Great Bible Stories for Children in Limerick Form is a result of over forty years of studying the Bible and loving its truth. It draws from truth in the Bible books of Joshua to Job. The drawings are a result of thinking about how Bible events may have looked. I believe that reading to children and showing them simple illustrations is a great way for them to learn not only to develop their own artistic abilities and at the same time, build a greater understanding of the beauty and variety of God’s creation.
This book is for parents who want to raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. I trust that this publication will be a help in carrying out that noble endeavor. The Bible tells a beautiful story of our loving Father and His gracious and merciful salvation through Jesus Christ, His Son. I am thankful for His grace and help in producing this volume.
