Akori wants nothing to do with this whole mate business. Some of his fellow warriors may have succumbed to what Ra deems an inescapable fate, but Akori knows better. If he can avoid placing himself in a situation where destiny can gain the upper hand, he’ll be fine. No problem. What he doesn’t count on is fate showing up on his doorstep.
Jordan didn’t expect to find the added bonus of a hotter-than-hell man while out scouting photo shoot locations, but her artistic eye knows what sin in jeans looks like, and this guy is it. Used to taking the backseat to her models, she’s pleasantly surprised when Akori looks at her with hunger in his eyes.
But as things heat up, danger approaches, and Jordan discovers she must not only accept Akori for what he truly is, but also save him from a fate worse than death.

Embrace The Hunger is the fourth story in the Ra's Chosen Series. It tells the story of Akori. Akori is a man who loves women and dreads the day he will get a mate. He thinks that settling down with just one woman does not suffice. That is until he meets Jordan. Jordan is a photographer and she was strolling through the neighborhood looking for the perfect place to do a photo shoot. She sees Akori washing his car and cant resist taking a few photos of him and his godlike perfection. After a close encounter with the man of her dreams she asks him if he would model for her. Akori doesnt want to do it because of what Jordan is to him but he doesnt seem to be able to stay away from her. He does the photo shoot and continues to court her. After a night out hunting the undead Akori is taken by the enemy and its up to the rest of his friends and Ra's Chosen to tell Jordan what he is and hopefully be able to save him in time.
This is a very good story but I really felt that the book was lacking on depth of characters. It seemed more focused on the sex scenes where are numerous and very descriptive. The plot is wonderful and could have been developed into a much larger book that could really draw the reader in and keep them.
If I haven't told you what a wonderful author Marisa Chenery is then I will tell you that she is now and this series is a MUST read. I don't mean sit down and skim through it without putting yourself into it (that's just stupid) I mean really sit down read and learn (even if it is a little) and love the stories that she produces with such realism it is hard to fake
I liked this one Akori was one of my favorites and his mate was actually really interesting, likeable, and though she wasn't perfect she wasn't crazy and annoying like the other women are. I don't know if it's just me or not but the other two women I found to be so annoying.
