The Florida Cracker has by and large flown under the historical radar. This book takes the reader back in time to Frontier Florida and explores the grit and determination of Jacob Summerlin, who after making his fortune turned int one of Central Florida’s primary benefactors. Founder of Orlando and the leading man in the town of Bartow, Florida, Summerlin left an indelible footprint on the Sunshine State. This book gives Summerlin his historical due and tells a lively tale of a Florida that will never be seen again. A wonderful read.
