I had to read it for a class. It is very informative. I learned a lot but it was very hard to read at times. It is quite boring but still interesting. Some things I was totally interested in and other things not so much. Oh there is alot of ethics content. It teaches when laws were passed, what kinds of counseling is there etc. Overall it wasnt so bad though. I did more skimming than I would have liked but I will read again to get the gist of things.
This was a basic book about counseling careers I read for a Self class at SUNY Brockport. It was a good overview, however, it was organized poorly which made it difficult to follow at times.
This book gives a lot of history of the counseling field. Pretty hard to just read but totally clicks after the professor lectures on it and brings it together.
This is a very basic and well-organized introduction to the various facets and applications of the counseling profession. Intentionally very surface level.
