VERNACULIS

by First Last

Fine art, calendar pages, comic shop posters and page after page of pinups showcase the evolution of the bold, colorful style that Ragnar introduced in his bestselling book Chromaphile. A must-have companion piece to Ragnar’s best-selling Chromophile! Vernaculis is an inspired compilation of Ragnar’s recent retro-modern illustrations featuring beautiful women and their fantastic sidekicks. Page after page of girls, robots, chimps and monsters reveals a parade of color and style that showcase the artist’s creativity and comic sensibility. Ragnar’s design style is instantly recognizable and attractive, and when I saw that he had an art book, I snapped it right up. -- Randy Lander, The 4th Rail
